I have a Mishimoto Thermostatic Oil cooler and it connects/fits fine behind the stock airbox.
-
I have the clips also. They are a great solution to this problem. Shame that only Subaru are prepared to admit this is an issue and Toyota are fingers in ears "la la la" lol
-
No its not a common issue. You have a leak somewhere and the garage are taking the mick.
-
Yep, i just ground it out on the metal stereo bracket as thats all earthed.

The exact dimensions are already there in his template. You just need to supply any specific logos/text your want.

He can make pretty much anything you can think of. Even easier if you can supply the graphics/fonts like I did for mine above. How about getting him to make one that says AVO at the top and Turbocharged at the bottom? These logo's I found on google image search would do the trick.

This turned up today. A nice little custom requested heater button surround supplied by mkdesignsuk.com. Ideally I would have liked one that had my supercharger number on it but I couldn’t find the serial number of the charger anywhere So instead I just went with the word “supercharged”. But if I ever do find the number I'll definitely ask him to make me up another one Was only £15!

Loving the stock pre-facelift wheels painted all black. Imho they should have come like that instead of the two tone diamond cut style.

Sounds like an old dot matrix printer… I’ve never heard an 86 make that sound before. Can you get someone else to switch it off and see if you are able to feel/hear where its coming from? Sounds to me like the throttle body. Have you recently had the battery disconnected? Also its quite loud/clattering before you switched it off. Almost diesel like. Has it always been like that?

Welcome. Cool Spoiler. Suits it.

The Pilot Sport 5 even out yet? I’d be curious as to what they are like too. Personally I’m not a fan of Michelin tyres. I went with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asym 5’s over PS4’s. But would also like to see what the PS5’s are like.

Tbh we’ve all known for years that cone filters suck in hot engine bay air and that the stock air boxes are not the restriction that the aftermarket would make you believe. Thousands of people have done back to back dynos proving this.

First wash of 2022, the first time i’ve had the car out in daylight wearing its 2017+ facelift spoiler and first time i’ve ever shared pictures of my car on this thread

Facelift/Spoilerless boot lid - Preferrably Orange
Leeky posted a topic in Wanted GT86 / BRZ Cars and Parts
As per title im looking for a spoilerless boot lid. If I could get one in Hot Lava Orange (H8R) then even better. Willing to travel nation wide for the right one. -
I agree, I'd save £310 and get the Reylands own discs. They aren't going to be poor quality.

Hey Chaps, I've going to be replacing my prefacelift spoiler with a facelift version which means I'll have 5x holes that need filling/covering somehow. I'm just curious what others who have done the same thing may have done here? The obvious option is to take the boot lid to the body shop to have them filled, however I know some people have covered the holes with a small ebay style lip/led brake light etc I like the option of avoiding the bodyshop and finding something else to go over the holes. This at least means I can easily revert to the old spoiler if I change my mind. Cheers!

APRacing (Cosworth Spec) 6pot/355mm floating fronts and matching APRacing 4pot/335mm rears. They cost £4300 from partbox but I was quite lucky that they were doing 20% discount at the time so got them for £3500.
-
I wouldn’t worry too much about the brake balance. Most people only upgrade the fronts as they do all the work. I’d do as much as you are willing to spend. But if you can stretch to doing the fronts and rears its money well spent. I did both the fronts and rears and am glad I did as it’s neck snapping under heavy braking.

how to disconnect the ignition coil? (pic)
Leeky replied to motopokep's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Can you rotate the coil 90 degrees in the hole so the bolt hole flange part is out the way enough to pull off the connector? I generally use mechanics pick tools to undo connectors. -
Kouki 86 low mileage direction - Supercharger/Lightweight/GR
Leeky replied to Feemono's topic in Modifications
Right now the used car market is on fire. Also Toyota confirmed the GR86 wont meet future emissions so it’ll only be on sale for two years. So I believe the smart money will be on selling your car now for top dollar, getting a GR86 on preorder and just doing without a sports car for a while until the new car arrives. Or if its your only car you could buy a few hundred quids worth of beater off ebay to use for 6 months (then just PX it in against the GR86 when it arrives). Supercharging/turbocharging your 86 is something many of us have done (myself included) with great results, but if you can sell your GT86 and get a GR86 with the combined money you would have otherwise spent charging your current car then makes sense to get the limited edition new car which has the power you are looking for straight out of the box. -
Hi All, I’ve been tinkering with my Scangauge to show my Oil Temp and Auto Gearbox Temp. Most codes you’ll find online are for the FRS so they are in DegF instead of DegC, but i’ve managed to get a load of useful gauge codes and thought I’d share. I’dd add more useful codes as I find them. Engine Oil Temp Deg C - TXD- 07E02101 RXF- 010702E80324 RXD- 3008 MTH- 00010001FFD8 Engine Oil Temp Deg F - TXD- 07E02101 RXF- 010702E80324 RXD- 3008 MTH- 00090005FFD8 Automatic Gearbox Fluid Temp Deg C - TXD- 07E12182 RXF- 046105820000 RXD- 2802 MTH- 00010001FFD8 Automatic Gearbox Fluid Temp Deg F - TXD- 07E02182 RXF- 046105820000 RXD- 3808 MTH- 00090005FFD8 Air/Fuel Ratio - TXD- 07DF0134 RXF- 044145340000 RXD- 2808 MTH- 05B900800000
