2012 GT86 in Grey, manual, leather.
chopper602 replied to chopper602's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Cars
I'm not looking for an exchange, sorry. I'm in the North East (Middlesbrough), so quite a way from you in Essex! It doesn't have Nav (always too expensive to update). The engine is standard apart from a K&N Panel filter. It was serviced at the end of last month (third annual service), by my local Toyota dealer. The MoT has just under 12 months on it. There is some extra alcantara trim on the inside, as I wasn't too keen on the original 'carbon fibre' effect trim. This also matches with alcantara on the hood over the instruments. Hope this helps - it's going on Pistonheads classified next week, so if you're interested, you could save me the bother! -

Kids growing up, No.1 daughter finding it difficult to fit behind her 16 year old brother (and I fancy a change!) -
I've got the motorhome, but haven't (yet) got around to putting a towbar on so can take a car with me big Euro trips. Maybe next year !

Hi all, Wanted to gauge the response to a run out on 29th March (start of British summer time) starting at the market place in Masham, then taking the road through the bottom of Wensleydale to Hawes, before heading to the top of the Dales via the Buttertubs Pass and finishing at the Tan Hill Inn (highest Inn in England). It's then an easy run down to the A66 and head off either East (A1) or West (M6). This is the approx route: It's about 45 miles from Masham to Tan Hill with the spectacular Buttertubs Pass in the middle. So come on all you Northerners, lets see how many we can get together . . . (This is a video from my dash cam that I took last time I went up this route )

If we don't get anymore, then I guess I'll put this off until a bit later in the year. Not as much fun with only a couple of people . . .

Has anyone had a year two service done yet ? I have mine booked in for next week and I have bought the oil & filter (cheaper than getting the dealer to supply) and from looking at the schedule it looks like everything else is a check. From a brief chat at the Oulton Park track day, Richard mentioned that the pollen filter and diff oil is replaced too - did yours get done ?? The cars on about 17k miles now
-
I bought my own engine oil, filter and gasket, so sort of saved myself £100 by doing that (£299 quote for service. Now £140 labour plus £59 for the consumables I already bought). TBH My service centre isn't the most clued up and I'm sure if I hadn't bought my own oil and went with the standard service price, they'd have charged extra for the diff. oil (£299 + £99 diff. oil)
-
I asked again about diff. oil change when they rang to remind me about the service. Eventually rang back that it should be changed at 4 years or 20k miles with a cost of £99 for the oil alone, but they could do the change at the same time as the service FOC. Seeing as the oil is about £35 from Cheap Toyota Parts, does anyone know if it's a simple DIY job ?
-
We were once charged £55 for a pair of wiper blades for the Saab. I kicked up a stink and they were 'discounted'!

BRZ Front Fender Side Fin Group Buy from Japex
chopper602 replied to Keethos's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
Think I'm going to have to duck out of the group buy (nothing to do with telling the wife!), as a looming trip to the Nurburgring might well remove my spare cash (along with a need for a pair of strut braces). Cosmetics can wait until my birthday in the summer Sorry Keith! -

I'll have to pick a weekend for a 'spirited' run up the Buttertubs again and you could bring the bits along (if the wife lets me!) -
