I'm thinking of getting a UEL & cat back exhaust fitted with remap this summer & as I live in West Yorkshire I'm looking for recommendations where I can have the work done in the north When I first got my 86 a few years ago I did a lot of looking on YouTube & did like the Borla & Magnaflow cat back combination as I am after a deep tone & not raspy & would like my 86 to sound like that but as I've not been active on here for a few years due to personal problems but I'm now wanting to start to modify my car but don't know what new exhausts & headers are now available so after advice please I have some health problems so going to somewhere like Abbey would be too far as I am unable to drive a few hundred miles

Thanks I d like the sound of the red 86 as it is quite deap & pops when gently revved
-
I've been looking at the top one myself but I was also thinking of getting the TD UEL & wondering what difference it would make to the sound
-
Typical I'm working that weekend hopefully I will be free for the next one
-
Just wondering what degreasers people use before applying sound deadening to panels, is it worth getting a panel wipe type degreaser or something else

Thanks for the replies everyone

I have my car booked in to have a new seat back fitted because of wear under warranty as its apparently a known issue, does anyone know of a seat cover or bolster protector I can get to prevent it happening again? I did a bit of googling & found this but its for a TVR so doubt it would fit & I don't know how good a fit seat covers would be so would prefer something like this protector

I would prefer some skirts I can get from the uk & have narrowed it down to 2 at the moment but if you have other ideas please let me know. I don't intend to spend hundreds for them as they get damaged by stone chips & I don't see the point. I'm not after skirts which have part coming up the body like TRD ones but something which just sits along the sill

I have a problem getting out of the car as I have arthritis in my spine so tend to shuffle a bit to get out which I now realise causes the wear, I will have a chat with Toyota next month.
-
I've managed to get one in grey & I prefer the look of this design but wont know for sure until its delivered later in the week
-
I've decided my car needs a boot spoiler but after contacting Toyota for a price for a genuine facelift spoiler I was told I would need a new strengthened boot lid which came to a ridiculous price before it was even painted so it looks like I will have to go for a pre facelift style spoiler I wanted this But I'm thinking of this one but don't know how good the fitment is My alternative would be to get a genuine one & get it sprayed to match my car like this going for £92 on ebay including delivery as it will fit properly & I have a mate who can spray it but I would prefer carbon fiber but it has to be a good fit What do you think the best option I should go for unless anyone has the above spoiler for sale in grey or black might look good on my car
-
I've spent ages looking at different ones on aliexpress & id carid but I'm not sure about importing one as wouldn't know about the quality & returns would be a nightmare. I've looked at Fensport they don't have anything I like I will have to look into that
-
Thats what they told me, I have to go to the dealers to have my drivers seat changed early February so will have a chat with them & take a look at the boot of an 86 they have there
-
I've found one in Essex after I posted in grey, my car grey & is spoilerless so can choose whatever spoiler I want but I might get the one in Essex & see what it looks like before I get it fitted

Has anyone fitted a Magnaflow cat back exhaust? I'm seriously thinking of getting one with a UEL as love the sound in this video or do you know of any ehxaust which had a deeper sound I prefer the sound to other exhausts I've heard on youtube as I want a deeper sound and the others just sound too raspy for my taste I want a UEL as I would prefer the subaru sound but dont know what the best UEL is & after some recommendations please. Also which cats would you recommend worth removing as know a lot remove at least one of them

I'm hoping to decide at JAE after listening to members cars there

As the weather is finally getting better it’s time to upgrade the audio in my 86, I intend to get an amp instead of a new head unit as I’m happy with it apart from the volume & no base (I really miss my sub) & the sat nav works ok for me although it doesn’t pick up all speed cameras where I live which have been there for years. Apart from that it does what I need it to do so I’m thinking of getting either a Pioneer GM-D8604 or an Alpine PMX-F640 https://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-pioneer-gm-d8604_p-32190.htm https://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-alpine-pmx-f640_p-23894.htm Both have speaker level input & pre out for the amp for my sub. I think the touch 2 has slightly different wiring than the older model & wondering if anyone can help me identify the speaker outputs from the touch 2 I have Focal speakers already & the amp & sub from my Celica so just need to get on with it One thing I need to do first is soundproofing & would like some advice on what the best places everyone has used it & what materials you used, I also intend to replace the puny little speakers in the back with a nice set of 6x9’s as I like to be enveloped in sound. One last thing is to somehow be able to fix my sub so it wont slide around when I have a little play so will need to somehow strap it to one side of the boot
-
I'd be interested in knowing which wires are for which speaker as I think they are on two different plugs. I have the touch 2 in my 66 plate GT86 so don't know if there is a difference & I am planning on doing the same thing How did you fix the amp? I assume you had to have something behind the carpet to support it.

Touch 2 with Go - Reverse Camera installation (TAS400)
Nemesis replied to AndyB's topic in ICE/Electrical
I've bought the pumpkin number plate surround with reversing camera & the adaptor with 2 pins connected & will hopefully get around to fitting it on Thursday or Friday so might have an answer if it works or not by the weeken -
I enjoyed meeting everyone & as above good food but shame about the idiot. It was the first time I've actually taken out the car for a proper run & loved it, didn't mind the motorway either as stitched on the cruse control & sat back enjoying the drive instead of constantly having to check the speed. On the way home I remembered I had heated seats & the ride home was even better. Talk about toaste

Thanks for the reply, I will leave it now to the summer

Not sure where this should go but has anyone used a Dinitrol rust prevention kit on their car? When I fitted mudflaps on my car last week I realised the sill is an open squarish tube where water can get in which probably would be a good idea to spray cavity wax down it. I've not been under my car yet but how hard would it be to spray underseal underneath with the car on ramps using either Dinitrol rattle cans or borrowing my neighbours compressor & using a proper spray gun
-
Not for me thanks

What dash cam did you get? I'm hoping to get around to fitting mine in the next couple of days & eventually got a Viiofo A119 V2 after spending a lot of time watching youtube reviews. Where I live taxi drivers are pretty good but I find its BMW drivers who think they own the roads

I was thinking of this amp to run the door & rear speakers & use the pre amp outputs to run an amp I already have for my sub
