Car will run a lower rev limit i think
-
Yep, 75 for running in and then I think we are going to use 69.

Nice mod. Never loved the stock spoiler.
-
The same, although we can easily evolve the charger. Lower comp, more boost / smaller pulley.

Just as an aside, I borrowed the keys to a 2014 wrx sti this morning from my local Subaru dealer and took it for a 10 minute drive. Whilst it was mighty quick, I couldn't help thinking about how out of place the power delivery would feel in the BRZ and how relatively more challenging it would make the car to drive. Ok I was on 'Sport Sharp' or whatever the agressive sti map is called, but the delivery was just on or off, just a touch of the throttle meant full beans !!

Forged pistons and rods; lower compression 10.5:1. Oil cooler and larger baffled oil pan. Catch can in development.

Epic trip Lauren. Massive expectations for your write-up

It is worthwhile giving a thought to how much compliance you lose by adding stiffer tyres and stiffer springs, as is the case typically when you lower or add bigger wheels.

I'm guessing you went round the roundabout once before turning left I am sure going sideways increases the opportunity for sidewall punctures.

Aaah Le Mans I'm a regular but can't go again this year. Much jealousy

Picked up the car today First impressions on the Abbey engine build; very good. 600 miles of restraint ahead of me then it's back for further mapping work and smaller pulley. Oil pan looks very nice in the flesh; very solid. I'm a big fan of detail and I'm still loving the stealth oil coiler ducting by Abbey.

Yep, I'll report back with results and I think we are sticking with the existing header arrangements. 300 was a bit of a plucked from the air figure, but my real aim is to improve performance out of low and medium speed corners on track. Secondary cat went ages ago

They've built the motor; Pauter rods, lower compression CP pistons....
-
We have now fitted a brz to the engine. And whilst perusing the inter web I have identified a similar built project taking place at Possum Bourne in NZ. Going to have a dig around to see what I can find out.

By far the best way to deal with that one, lol

So, I take it that the SC stage does not actually exist at the moment? Vapourware? Personally I am struggling to see why Cosworth would enter this market either with someone else' product relabelled, or a bespoke offering. I just don't get the economics, especially for an aftermarket parts approach. As for a forced induction, built motor, I'd say the Cosworth Impreza pricing might give an idea of the likely cost of this, and that packaging it up as a warranted manufacturer limited run model, would be the preferred approach. Subaru has a track record of delivering modified cars through it's model line up so it 'fits.' But they struggled to shift the CS Impreza ( price, halfords trim and monumental lag, being but 3 issues ) so they would need to pitch any BRZ variant just right. I am happy to advise, lol. Could they sell 50 GT3 slaying BRZs; not sure.

Something from PH http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=217&t=1404356&mid=149886&nmt=BRZ+H6+being+tested+by+Subaru+Germany

I suspect this is nothing more than a local marketing exercise, if that. I can't see Subaru doing this sort of development in Europe. Twin turbo H6; now that would be something. The 6 cylinder boxer engine is a great motor though.

Got to poke around a new STI yesterday and I think it looks pretty good in the flesh, especially in WR Blue, and certainly a more balanced design than the previous model. Good to see the big wing back. Easy to do an Evo double-take at a distance but close up it is clearly a Scooby. As as has been commented on in the media, the dash is a bit gash ! Sounds like a Subaru should too. Good car

The arrival of a new Subaru obviously creates some excitement ( with me at least ) This time it is the new WRX ( and later STI ) with Subaru distancing them from the rest of the Impreza line up increasingly. Anyways, many of you will have seen the sleek WR blue 2 door concept, but now Subaru has released a teaser of the new car, which debuts in the US next week. Pig or prince; I know what it should be and I know what it will be, lol

The aim is that it will begin with a 6

Lovely colour choice. Think I will wrap, just need something that doesn't clash with my wheel colour.
