Tuning Developments - Super Res Catback

Actually got the wife with me later il ask her to video it on the way home. Do you use yours as a daily? If so I would recommend the super res personally as I found the res had a real loud spot around 3-3500rpm, it was great when just driving for fun but I found it uncomfortable on long journeys and when just pottering around -

Tuning Developments - Super Res Catback

I have it and it’s definetly louder than stock. Got the EL manifold and super res cat back. I had the res one before and found it a bit to loud for daily duties. Will try and get a video the weekend. You can always change the centre pipes on the TD system so if you went super res and found it a bit quiet you could always change the centre pipe (I just happen to have a normal res one for sale) then sell on your other -
Hi, after many months of looking and changing my mind I am almost ready to place my order. Just a bit torn between 2 wheels at the moment, 18x8 ET35 or 17x9 ET35. I know the 18s will be slightly heavier but I’m not honestly not bothered about that. Would the 17x9 fit with stock suspension ok? Does anyone know if there was any change to the shock sizes on the kouki edition? as I’m guessing I would be quite close to the strut tower but think this should fit ok. Also would the right tyre be 245/40 and would this fit fine with out adjusting the camber? Will be ok stock suspension and alignment for the foreseeable future and may just fit some springs temporally to reduce the arch gap. do you think a 245 tyre is too much tyre for NA road driving, just been reading up and seems a few people struggle getting the wider tyres up to temp. thanks

Thanks both that’s what I was thinking myself just wanted some confirmation

Is black the same size and offset? -
I think it is 2.5 inches and the resonator is 4. Can go measure it later for you

So close to placing my order now 🤦🏼♂️ Does anyone know will an et35 17x9 fit on the stock suspension ok with camber as standard or will I have to get that adjusted for the fronts to sit correct? I have been doing more thinking and as I’m planning on a turbo, I might just put some wider wheels on now so then that brings me back to the rpf1 as I quite like these in the 9’ wide as they have a different profile to the 8’

These still available? -
Hi, not sure what category to put this in as it isn’t strictly a for sale post. im looking at quieting down my TD resonated exhaust I still find it to loud now after having the manifold fitted. So debating on buying their super res centre pipe or just getting a bigger silencer welded in. Would there be any demand for just selling the mid pipe?
-
Thanks Martin think il get on the phone tomorrow to TD
-
Thanks is there a noticeable difference between the 2? Is it much quieter lower down the Rev range say under 4000rpm?
-
I have had it on for 5-6 weeks now, some days I love it but others it actually leaves my ears ringing (must be getting old) plus the other half doesn’t like it much. i think iv asked TD before about purchasing a mid pipe separately but think it was something like £250 I really don’t want to spend that much so I’m guessing it’ll be a lot cheaper to get a local exhaust place to weld a new resonator in but if someone wanted to buy the resonated mid pipe then i would be tempted to order the part from TD so just trying to weigh up my options as don’t want to spend £250 then get stuck with a mid pipe
-
Didn’t you go for the cosworth exhaust in the end? Not sure if the mid pipes would be interchangeable

Go for a test drive but make sure the seat is tilted back. I struggled to get in or out of the car and had my head up against the roof first time I tried the car, turns out the dealer had folded the seat forward then when it goes back up it stops at an awkward angle. I’m 6’3 with long arms and legs and can drive fine. Have got a few ideas to help improve in the future, j-luth steering wheel smaller and sits closer to the driver so will give my legs more room. And maybe a new seat if I can get it a bit lower that would be ideal as I haven’t tried wearing s helmet in mine yet

Most company’s map out the cold start when you get the ecutube so it is quieter on start up with an aftermarket manifold and map

Hi, i am now on the look out for my 1st GT86 but weren't to sure on the differences over the years. Am i right in thinking that the 2015+ have redesigned coilpacks that are less likely to fail? if so are they really that delicate on the older models? this wll be my only car so want to make it as reliable as possible, well before the mods start at least i know about the shark fin aerial and slight interior changes. does the 15plates onwards have revised suspension too or is that just the 17plates?
-
I do quite like them but are a bit more than I’d like to spend for 2nd hand with no tyres
-
How much were these out of interest? I think they might have been discontinued
-
I think you can just about get away with that, but I would think it would make the handling feel soft. I know some people don’t like the 225/45 on an 8’ rim so I would think on a narrower rim this would make the sidewalls feel even softer
-
If I go for a 17x8 and 225/45 will I notice the taller sidewalls? As this is the only thing that worry’s me if it dulls the handling and feels soft, I would be running pilot sport 4 XL load. Would I notice much difference if I ran a 18x8 wheel that was similar weight? As I was thinking the smaller profile 225/40 would sharpen the handling more than the 17s? I have found an 18” wheel I like, that is about .5kg lighter than the 17s I was looking at so would there be any negative with using this it’s mainly my daily car but I am planning on a few track days in the future
