RallySport Direct twin charged an impreza with a cossy SC kit.

Yeah it a running joke with Tashan as they've been up for a while. Good buy at that price!

There's a few thread on the ft86club. One persona gained about 5hp iirc. Steve Knight was the 1st mani Mark at Abbey decatted but they didnt get before and after unfortunately. I fancy picking up a new 2017 manifold and decatting it.

I got bollocked by the instructor on my 1st ever trackday for block shifting It was a novice day and he was a bit fed up of everyone doing it.

I dont believe it

Each application for the AZ6 is customised. I agree with @Lauren that it does depend on your level of mechanical sympathy. If you literally pull it into gear very quickly and the revs dont match, the syncros will wear quickly on stock power, obviously more power and more mis-match will put more stress on it. Generally the box seems to be okay up to 350hp in terms of mechanical strength. 4th gear is the one to go usually. I think Adrian @ fensport ran 400+hp but you've got to admit, ten or so 1m30s laps at six or so events a year is not the same as 6 trackdays a year where you spend 2 hours lapping hard on each day. Same applies to running above 280HP with stock internals.

I actually disagree with putting tweeters im the door cards (sorry lauren). If you look at the competiton installs they either put then in the dash or make custom A pillar pods. I tried it in my corolla and sounded awfully bright. Also I havent seen any issues with comb filtering off the windscreen (causing wobbles in the tweeter response), but you do get a natural roll off as it goes above 10k-ish. looks very neat. Where are the sensors getting the readings from? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

I presume this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AP-Racing-Front-Big-Brake-Kit-Front-350mm-Toyota-GT86-Subaru-BRZ-Scion-FRS-/253029037889?epid=1675752633&hash=item3ae9b4b741:g:XzEAAOSwvg9Xc-~E However these would be tempting to me if I was looking now: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/355mm-GT-6-Piston-Big-Brake-Kit-Brembo-Spec-Subaru-Impreza-WRX-STI-Forester-/152617994597?epid=8002631222&hash=item2388bdc965:g:V64AAOSw1BlZOyFM Just need to swap the bleeders...

I better not look now! Went for 225/40/18 PS4's in the end. They look about right and Toyota fit that size on the zero wheels so ignorance is bliss [emoji4] Lol sorry I didnt see the date. I'd be happy with 225s on 7.5j. My AD08Rs Yoko recommend 225 on a 7.5j. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

If you are looking at the PS4 what rim width do they recommend for a 225/40? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

GT86 Turbo Kit & BRZ Turbo Kit from Tuning Developments
Ade replied to Mike@TD.co.uk's topic in Tuning Developments
That is very impressive indeed. Do you have any data logs from your development car to back that up? -
Rubber boots can burn on stock brakes with a lot of heat yes, but a 330x28 or bigger disc and N/A you wont have a problem unless perhaps endurance racing. I know and have spoken to Peter Collin of AP racing UK. He does not recommend competition kits for UK roads and is adamant their road kits can hold up to track abuse due to the oversized disc. I myself have done 6 trackdays on my AP racing kit and I've been able to use a street pad whereas on stock I had to use Clubracers (and ruined my dust boots) to avoid brake fade. Plenty of people on ft86club (who you like to quote so much) use the formula kits and not one has burned the dust boots.

That Godspeed Brembo kit is a smaller caliper than the STI brembos that are a popular swap for our cars. Its a smaller cheaper calipers and the discs are Godspeed. Godspeed disc are good value but the vanes are not curved so wont cool as well as AP/Stoptech/brembo aftermarket discs that have curved vanes. According to AP racing their curved vane discs dissipate 30% more heat than straight vaned discs. I would expect these have same size pistons as the STI brembos so bias will go forward a bit. Mostly people dont have an issue with it though. Not saying they are a bad choice just be aware. @Church those essex kits are not suitable for UK roads. The Road and track kits with aluminium pistons, rubber boots, paint finish, anti rattle shims ect are far more suitable for our salty winter roads.

Stock tune pulls power at 140C. Id keep it to 130C for longetivity but its a finger in the air guess I ran my car bone stock except pads at about 5 trackdays. On every session on every day the oil peaked at around 135-140C and no issues what so ever. That was on 0W20 toyota oil and pressure was as low as 2.5bar at 7k rpms

Count me in for a set too please

Looking on the ft86club thread, you are right the main hardware is CAD plated 10.9 high tensile steel. I blame @TTR for telling me they are titanium. Lovely bits of kit though, designed using FEA to ensure they are strong enough and a good weight saving.
-
I think* they are titanium rose joints which will help. *description doesnt make it clear. @Lauren when you say full bush kit, all of the suspension?

Just a note about the AD08Rs. They dont like high pressure. They have stiff sidewalls and turn into bits of wood at 35psi. I run them 28psi cold (235/40/18) and at the track I run them 30PSI hot.
