    Fuel Cooler

Im with Lauren on this one, if it misfired then its spark. Its likely either a spark plug or the coil pack. We know that coil packs are affected by heat so it does point towards that. Best not to remove code until you make a note of it! Screenshot will do!

    Lowe's Team Grey

Ive noticed on three different system ive had on mine, that they get louder when hot after a long run. Its the packing material in the absorption silencers I think. Exhaust sounds really nice! love a subtle pop too.

    An interesting noise

Have you got a clip of the noise? The heat shield above the read back box can rattle. Also you'd be surprised how much the stock back box on stock rubber moves around under cornering and braking so maybe something there. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

    Ade's Road and Track Toy

Hi Sam, I dont back off as my oil cooler keeps the temp down and I can lap indefinitely. I use the oil pressure gauge to keep and eye for oil pressure surging in long fast corners. If you are not running an oil cooler I would back off at 130C and use a 0W30 oil (miller Nanodrive is good stuff). Stock I had oil up to 140C on the toyota 0W20 oil at the track, pressure at the top gallery next to the AC was 2.5bar at the red line. I wouldn't recommend doing this to anyone but it was okay on my car for a couple trackdays.

    Will300's Subaru BRZ Build

Well worth it though. I didn't go this far as I left out the mass loaded vinyl but it still.made a massive difference to road noise. I'd estimate one third quieter on my noisy AD08Rs. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

    Will300's Subaru BRZ Build

Wow you really want full on!! Good work! I skipped the MLV on mine as it's quite heavy. For people interested there are a few types of sound deadening, though each one does a bit of everything the main divisions go like this: 1) mass loaders, such as silent coat and dynamat. These add mass to lower the resonant frequency of the surface they are loading. The panels in our cars ring like buggery so very useful. 2) sound disspersers. This is the egg foam stuff or something like 3M thinsulate. It helps stop standing waves but only over cirtain bands depending on its design. Generally the lower frequency you want it to break up the deeper it has to be. In recording studios you often see up to 1meter deep triangluar foam on the wall. 3) sound barriers. A very dense material that reflects sound. Mass loaded vinyl is popular in cars. 4) closed cell foam that attenuates sound as it passes through but main purpose is to stop vibrations. Used on the back of doors on top of mass loaded vinyl. For home the environment decoupled surfaces are also very useful. They basically stop vibration travelling via contact by decoupling walls of plasterboard with foam. In cars MLV often comes with a layer of foam in an attempt to decouple it but when it's squished between doors cards its not going to be very well decoupled. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

    Considering a Cossie GT86.....

Fwiw I noticed motorway fuel eco drop more when switching to AD08Rs than adding the SC kit. I still get around 36-38 on long runs in the summer if I stick to 3k rpms Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

    Considering a Cossie GT86.....

You must drive pretty hard on the road then. I didn't think there was a problem on the road with stock brakes and cossy. Mine was 1255kg with half a tank before the sound system was installed. That with cossy sc kit, Ohlins and cat back. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

    Considering a Cossie GT86.....

Just becuase it was common doesnt mean a good pad wouldnt work. Much like alot of people that go to forced induction and feel the need to go to bigger brakes for road use on our cars. Also 260hp and 1400kg? Vs 190hp (okay 220hp with few bits) and 1250kg. I can see how a 325mm disc would help with that weight. BBK only required if you do trackdays imo. Transcend Drive Pro 200 car video recorder 2x suction mount, case, 32GB SD card Transcend Drive Pro 200 car video recorder with following extras Transcend 32GB micro SD card Transcend Suction Mount Duragadget Long Suction Mount Duragadget Case Total cost of all these items currently on amazon £150 I have used it about 10 times for trackdays mounted to the inside of the windscreen. Its in very good condition, like new. All working nicely. It can produce 1080p video at 30fps with audio. Note that the drive pro also comes with a fixed mount and two 3M sticky pads to stick it to the windscreen. I have used one, so there is still the spare one in the box which will come with this purchase. Car audio aultinater upgrade

Usually the "spec" is for a sine wave output. Music has a peak to average power ratio of 10:1 so to avoid clipping average power is generally 5 time less than the rated RMS. e.g. 2500watts is more like 500watts. However this is for music to be enjoyed with a nice flat response and not bang bang music, crank the sub up and shatter windows loud.

    Car audio aultinater upgrade

Then I suggest you need a more powerful alternator

    Car audio aultinater upgrade

2500W rms wont draw anywhere near that with actual music unless it clipping enough to blow u pthe speakers. Nerds estimation of 28A i more likely to be closer to reality. Our alternator is 125A iirc and current draw is 20A steady state with engine running in our cars (heated seats and windows off). So youd have decent charging headroom I suspect but on short journeys, with it cranked up, then you may find the battery doesn't charge as fast. In reality unless you want your ears to bleed I think the stock alternator and a batter upgrade should work well. I have a 75Ah AGM battery.
  23. Hi, As per the title I am looking for a stock coolant pipe as shown in the image below (ignore the laminova cooler) Mocal laminova PM me if you have one I can relinquish. Thanks for looking
