The main reason I let go is force of habit really. I know it best to be in total control and I'll try to focus on not letting go but I'd rather control it by letting go than try to keep hold and struggle to get a quick enough reaction and thus spinning out and potentially spanking my car! One things for sure you can go a fair bit quicker in the wet with tc switched off. Slightest rear end movement causes it to intervene and slow you down. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Was waiting for that comment! Haha. I guess that's a fair point. I only let go when my fat lags wouldnt allow me to apply any more lock but could still keep one hand on the wheel I suppose. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Thanks! It was with the 5 second button push, so ABS, EBD and E Diff still active. I wasn't trying to drift so was coming back due to my inputs, except for the spin

and some slidey bits

Also just to mention my exhaust setup; Custom 70mm H&S cat back with Helmholtz, Custom 70mm decat Frontpipe with small silencer in place of the cat, 2.5" JDL overpipe and stock manifold, measured 82dB on monday at Bedford.

Couple laps from a very wet Bedford last monday. Old AD08Rs with 3.5mm tread made for a slippy experience!

But can still look at camera footage the next day. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

I've never heard this myth! You were mr consistent when I was a passenger in your car at Blyton. DZ03s

Your excuses are getting better but you forgot to mention your knackered pads

I have to agree part of the reason I haven't done the TSS is that I want as much track time as possible for the money.

Ive got a Transcend Drive Pro200 (used to make the above video) which ive recently upgraded to a GoPro Hero 4. If you want to buy the Drive pro200 its like new basically and has various suction and mounting bits. Let me know if interested and I can send pics ect..

Ive corrected the time as it was 1m 17s but it was his 1st time there @TTR but it was a warm summer day so will be probably a couple seconds quicker than a cold winter (okay just about spring) trackday. I did a 1m 15.8s but I was on AD08Rs and Supercharged and it was about 20-25C that day.

When tiff did his lap the the 1st corner was different and the EVO mag didnt have the wiggle. For reference Tashan did a 1m17s on PS4s in an N/A car which will be pretty quick. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Yeah that's the point its nowhere near as much as people think. Somewhere like blyton its hardly anthing. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

N/A I think as long as the tuner knows where there doing, you'll be fine. Supercharged however, when on boost thing can get very hot. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

People dont beleive me when I say that the supercharger doesnt reduce lap time by that much at all. Even at Bedford I don't think it more than 3 seconds. You spend far more time braking and cornering where you are grip limited so tyres (and brakes if they fade) are the best way to reduce laptimes. There's a comparison of primacies vs AD08Rs somewhere on you tube in an Frs and iirc the guy dropped 3.7s in a 1min 20s lap so you can see how at beford or snet 300 it could be 10seconds. Nothing wrong with wanting more power, after all the GT86 is a great handling car and it wont ruin the character of the car. My personal opinion is for road it doesn't need more power but for track I wanted more. Though the low end torque from the blower is nice on road and track.
-
It's an easy job. Just undo the middle bolt and flip it. Make sure you use appropriate torque setting on it and loctite if AP recommend. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Will is correct. Its upside down, it should be putting a constant pressure on the pads. https://www.apracing.com/drawings/CP9200-1CD.pdf

I vote Racecomp engineering yellow springs. They actually had the damper on a shock dyno before design the springs.... and they are eibach so good quality items. The american red Eibach springs that come with bumpstops are also good. Well know and decent driver DAVE-ROR (ft86club mod) shaved 2 seconds off his lap fitting those. Too soft is worse for ride as the car hits bumpstops otherwise. Grip wise the stock strut benefits from a stiffer spring up front as you get less roll and thus maintain more camber.

@will300 - ive been looking in to this as I had a feeling the straight grooves were the opposite way. The G8 groove you have (assuming you have the CP3580) goes the other way so yours are correct. https://www.apracing.com/drawings/cp3580-2900~1cd.pdf @Lauren has the CG8 face, same as mine, which the grooves fallow the contour of the internal cooling vanes. So they are correct. @alucardo - as your are a carbon copy of the AP CG8 face, then yours looks the wrong way round to me. Sorry to worry you!

My guess is tuning developments are putting them on the wrong way becuase the Ksport go on that way. With AP discs the cooling will be affected as the vanes with be the wrong way. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

If these are AP they are wrong! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

This is the correct way round. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
