For sale are my gunmetal grey Rota Boosts 17x7.5 et48 with 215/45 AD08R tyres that are near the legal limit. One of the wheels has a 5p sized paint chip on one of the spokes. Haven't had a chance to weigh them but they're noticeably lighter than the standard wheels and the AD08R's make the car properly quick through corners. Location: GL11 £350 Collection only

(SOLD!) Differential with 4.67 Lower Final Drive (SOLD!)
lintgfx replied to Adi's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
Had a quote from Fensport for a final drive + labour for £768. Reckon you could make this a bit cheaper considering I'd have to do the labour myself to make it worthwhile? -
No chance at these nowadays unless a second hand set comes on the market. I believe they've come out with a new version of them though.

I'll give you £350 for all 4

You'd probably end up getting an ECUTEK map anyway once you start modifying the car further so it makes sense to just do it now. It's a bit like the springs vs. coilover argument. One is a cheaper option but nearly everyone who goes for the cheaper option ends up getting the more expensive one further down the line.

ST suspension springs are good they're KW's "cheap" sub-brand. 4kg Front 5k rear lowers 20mm Front 25mm rear. You can also buy them as part of a handling package that comes with matched ST anti roll bars

They sell them on Aliexpress cheap. Up to you if you think it's worth the risk but it's probably made in the same factory as the ft86speedfactory ones 😂

Spring Action Day 2019 - Castle Combe, Saturday 30th
lintgfx replied to VAD17's topic in Social Meets
This should go without saying but anyone who attends this DO NOT GO ON TRACK. It's really not worth it with the amount of b***ends on track that think they're heroes. I guarantee at some point during the day you will see a crash (probably multiple) If you're really that desperate at least try to get on one of the club track slots so it's all a group of like minded people. -
If you're that concerned you could always go catless and switch it out before your MOT. Just make sure it's nice and hot before they test it or it'll likely fail.

Unfortunately I'm on late shift this week so I'm only available before 2pm during the week. I'm free tomorrow though or next weekend!

Wheel weight rota blitz, pro race 1.2
lintgfx replied to Daninplymouth's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Thanks for the sarcasm but it's common sense. You're literally making yourself slower for the sake of feel which is personal preference and then claiming it to be what everybody should be doing. -

But you'd go faster on a narrower wheel (of the same style/make). Or if you had a wider tyre on your current wheel. Using the narrowest tyre that still fits to spec on your wheels is just wasted weight for the sake of feel which is obviously fine on a road car or in a less competitive series but don't go spreading misinformation about how it's what people in competition prefer because it's absolutely not. -

Are you interested in a set of 17x7.5 Rota Boosts? They're a fair bit lighter than the standard wheel and I have a set for sale at the moment. -

Not really you'd want a narrower wheel in order to save unsprung weight. I'd rather go slightly quicker if I was seriously competing rather than a "better feeling" car with a sharper response. Fair enough if you enjoy the way it makes your car feel but don't go trying to say the car will actually be better in a competitive environment because of it. -

YOU didn't like it. Doesn't mean to say other people won't. There's plenty of people running wide tyres on a narrower rim that are happy enough. Even the new Type R has a 245 on an 8.5j rim. -

Brand new not in packaging however the fittings are still in their little bag unused. Haven't fitted it to my car yet as I hit a fox and it took of a small lower chunk of my bumper. Collection from GL11 (could possibly work out a price for postage) I can post a picture of the actual splitter if needed £90

What rates are the springs? Can't find any info on them other than "they lower 25mm"
