Clive confirmed that during the session, but as a balance, most of the VAG stock tune cars he tests come out bang on the numbers.

James, I was expecting higher figures, but the bhp figure is bang on the money for Cosworth's quoted range of 260 for std exhaust and 280 for their de-cat system. The car feels to have endless torque, so it's not an issue IMHO Also the torque dip in the 4500-5000 range isn't noticeable on track at all, but the graph seems to exaggerate the dip, which is 14lb ft over that rev range.

James, some more driving lessons would come in useful. Nothing else planned for the car at the moment, but after next Tuesday's session at Snetterton, I'll probably have some more ideas.

The car is booked into Clive Atthowe's for a full roller session next Thursday. I've know Clive for a long time, he's a Revo dealer like me. Clive does Adrian's cars as well. Results will be posted Thursday evening.

Patience Grasshopper, it's couple of weeks before the car goes on the rollers, as soon as I have the figures I'll post them. Now where did I leave those ping pong balls?

  11. Off to Snet on 14th April to get some more practice. Need to get the StreetFlex setup sorted and find out how it performs on my local circuit. Hopefully my ride and handling guru can attend, to show me where I'm going wrong. Happy to give passenger rides between testing if any local members can spare the time.

Lauren that is very kind coming from the Hard Charger of the day, which was very well deserved too. Many thanks for the help with the Tein setup too.

Well Direct Line decided they didn't want to cover the supercharger, but Adrian Flux came up with the goods covering all the mods. which was a relief as I collect the car tomorrow......
