Jay, it's a private road, which is used by locals, no-one seems to monitor its usage on the weekends.

I'll be on the airfield at Eye on Saturady afternoon, it's basically a runway behind the industrial estate, it's used by learners etc. so if I can find a large free spot I'll be doing the 'driving around in a circle as quick as I can' test. If you check Google Earth near Eye Suffolk just to the right of the A140, you'll see a long wide strip of concrete which was the old US Airforce base during WW2. That's where I'll be.

I'm looking forward to testing on Saturday There's a Trackday at Snett on 8th April, so I may have a testing and logging day, plus learning about the Tein StreetFlex setup. Busy busy!

    GT86 Cosworth

Guys I'm spending Saturday afternoon on the Eye airfield runway doing large circles in both direction and working out how far I can push the car before it either breaks away or less likely understeers. Then trying throttle lift offs to see How the car responds, then I might try the odd drag run.... Then a drive over my usual test route, 4 or 5 times. So all being well I should have 200 miles driving experience with the beastie before Sunday.

Sure as heck hope that: 1) I keep it on the island and 2) I don't lunch the engine or gearbox I'll write those up on cards and tape them to the inside of the windscreen

Planning to collect the car on Saturday morning, that means Sunday's first few laps should be interesting.

But as a Stage 2 it's 260-280bhp, depending on the exhaust options fitted.

All will be revealed at Snetterton on the 29th, assuming UPS get the package to Adrian next week.

Car checked in with Adrian, supercharger on its way from Australia....... It's a looooong story. Saw Stan's car with new small spoiler & Spec Ks car awaiting bits. They have an AWFUL lot of work to do before all our cars are ready for the 29th. Hopefully I should have the car back in about 10 days.

    Winter tyres thread

This weekend the winters are coming off the 86 and the Yeti, forecast for next week is 10 degrees plus all week So that will mean snow by Thursday ;-)
  21. But I never thought it would be a Toyota! Decided to go with the Cosworth Stage 2, just waiting for Adrian to call back and extract a wedge from the credit card. It could be the start of an expensive month.........

    I always fancied a Cossie.........

OK so that's 5 last places then ;-)

    I always fancied a Cossie.........

Latest news for Fensport is that the supercharger kit will be available in mid-March, which only gives a couple of weeks before the first TSS. If it's delayed by a week, I may have to run Round 1 as N2. :-(

    Trackdays and helmets

Copy and paste works. The requirement for all classes in the Toyota Sprint Series is a helmet conforming to BS6658 Type A (blue & white BSI sticker), AFR (red & white BSI sticker) or Snell SA2000. There are loads of companies that will sell you one of these (Demon Tweeks, Grand Prix Racewear etc.).

Welcome to the forum James, getting Adrian to do his magic with the remap is an excellent idea.
