PistonHeads Sunday Service - Goodwood, Nov 25 2018 - CANCELLED
Luke replied to VAD17's topic in Social Meets
I've been wanting to go to one of these Sunday service events for ages. I'll be there weather permitting etc. -
If only we'd known before booking Bedford. Ah well I can enjoy Bedford before I give the car a louder voice. Just realised how close these two circuits are, looks like Milton Keynes would be good.

Hello guys and gals, on Sunday 7th of October Goodwood is hosting a gathering of japanese cars for their breakfast club. Whilst its not possible to get a club stand at the event I thought it would be nice to organise a little group trip to the event. If we meet in one place and convoy in together we will be parked next to or near each other. Entrance is free and you simply need to register on their website to get a ticket emailed to you. Doors open at 7am but I'd suggest we meet for 8am and then drive in. https://www.goodwood.com/sports/motorsport/breakfast-club/

And within the day I've just been accepted with a display ticket. Awesome, suppose I'll have to clean the car now.
-
Just applied for a display ticket as well. Thought why not.
-
Let's meet at 9am by the Jackie Stewart pavilion. Hopefully I've attached the map correctly. 3d-breakfast-club-v1.pdf

Yes sounds good I can't remember where they put the food trucks but let's meet somewhere easy like that.
-
Yeah I've gone for regular visitor ticket but it's entirely up to you. We'll all meet up once in anyway.

That's scary to think you might of lost the engine due to someone else's negligence. Is the engine and gearbox in the car or are you still sorting out issue before it can go in. It's funny how YouTube can make engine swaps easy in a 3 minute montage. Anyway I look forward to the updates. I've not actually seen an 86 with an engine swap in the flesh yet.

Yes I thought it was normal for an lsd. I told the wife 'because race car'. Which Toyota dealer has stated UK 86's don't have an LSD?
-
Not that this will help much but my2017 has always spun the inside wheel when pulling out of junctions. It's very subtle but once you hear it you'll always notice it. Should I mention this at the first service due in a couple of weeks?
-
Sounds good to me. Would be great to see an 86 on display.

Looking great Sam, I bet your glad it's finally road worthy. How are you finding the driving experience? Had you driven one before?

GT86 BRZ Tuning Package from Tuning Developments

Thats a shame. Still it's really good that you can get on track with a full exhaust system less the second cat.- 231 replies

Last year I was in Florida doing the inevitable Disney trip and I was incredibly jealous of how obtainable a brz or frs was in the US due to cheap running costs. A year later and we're San Francisco and I've spotted at least 5 brz's one as soon I exited the airport terminal. However on the sightseeing tour bus I spotted what looked like a solar orange limited edition. I thought this was a Europe only edition as they get the brz blue edition out here. Anyway I'm heading off to Las Vegas after this so no doubt I'll see some heavily modified ones on the strip.

I've just seen on speedhunters blog that I've missed international 86 Day this year. So far as I can see only driftworks hold a gathering to celebrate this event in the UK. Perhaps we should hold a meet up next year to mark the occasion. Whether it be the 8/6/19 or the American version 6/8/19. Opinions?

TRD red looks very similar to the standard red or is it just me? It looks in great condition and clearly well looked after. I'd advertise it at a higher price than the book as I'm sure you paid a premium when you bought it.
-
Yeah that's very wide and no fun for a stock 86. 17x 8 et 35 on something better than primacies would be the best unless you go forced induction.
-
They look like porsche 911 gt3 wheels. Maybe the owner is on the forum? Pictures were found on tuning developments google maps account if that helps.
-
That's a tough call they both look great it different ways, do you notice the weight difference when driving? What sizes are those? What coil overs are you on?
-
Work emotion cr's are definitely up there as one of my favourite wheels. Regamasters used to be a Honda favourite didn't they?
-
Cheers Lucas, I've not looked through the Rays catalogue yet so I'll give it a peruse. Nimz what wheels did you go for?
-
Thank you for letting me know so fast. You guys must have some sort of wheel bible. I can't keep up with all the manufacturers out there now.
