I’ve never found a seat more comfortable then the oem gt86 seats. Plenty of support for me. Perhaps yours are broken or worn out? What part is uncomfortable?

Can my friend join with his GR Yaris? (used to have a gt86).

Focals are okay, I went with JBL components, more faff but with some sound deadening and speaker adaptors they sound miles better then the oem.

So far as I know you couldn’t order a pro without the boot spoiler, however they might of had a friendly dealer who swapped the boot for a non spoiler version. Either way here is my non pro with the boot lip spoiler.

Welcome to the AP racing club. You’ll enjoy the pad rattle going from forwards to reverse. But the front will really dive when you bury that pedal. Such a worthwhile mod because the brake pedal just feels so solid.

That’s exactly the same spec I bought brand new back in 2017. They did two trim levels back then. A GT86 which is what yours is and a GT86 pro which gained half leather and perforated alcantara interior with heated seats and alcantara door trim. Plus the black aluminium boot spoiler and a sat nav stereo. I wasn’t fussed about the seats and didn’t like the boot spoiler so saved myself £2k and bought the same one as you. I’ve have since added a 5 axis boot lip spoiler as I think it finishes off the rear of the car nicely. Enjoy.

Here is the highly reputed Tuning Developments Cat back resonated exhaust system. It’s great build quality and deep characterful tone is what drew me to it. That’s a rare sight, modified facelift in Dark blue. I like the wheels and slightly smaller front number plate.

Thanks to this topic, I managed to install my own with no hiccups. I did have to unbolt the front seat to install it, which really isn’t too much trouble. Disconnected the battery and waiting 30mins so as not to upset any airbags. Looking forward to trying it on track.

I never realised how far forward the AVO turbo was mounted down below. What made you pick that setup?

That’s a long long list, hopefully I’ll get a few in this year providing the virus doesn’t take over. Would be really to see some familiar and new faces.

I’ve seen a few cars with bonnet vents especially on the track day cars. Do they provide a benefit for the GT86? Or are they more for show? Also does it stop the bonnet flexing at speed?

So they definitely serve a purpose in keeping the temps down when out on track but it depends on your cars setup as to whether you really need them.
