Those supercar owners should of woke up earlier like we did. Could of enjoyed some quiet roads like we did. This was up on Box Hill.

Cool, I might go for the dirtiest car award, let the rain clean it. See you there.
-
Ah I see he's quite the paparazzi. I'll let him know my fees next time lol.
-
That's a miracle you managed to get a clean run up it. Very lucky the snow hasnt hit yet either. I'm looking forward to getting my chance to do a mountain pass in the 86 next year. More than likely the susten and San Bernard. Wish they were closer to home though as I love the mountain roads.

That's an awesome picture @Subota Boy didn't even see you taking it lol. I should be able to make this one if a bit later at 2pm again.

@VAD17will the restaurant be open for breakfast on Sunday or should I grab something on the way?
-
Yes I changed mine on the facelift a few weeks back and they're exactly the same. The bolts are a bit fiddly but it's a fairly easy fit and forget task. Much nicer driving at night again. I personally think the headlights are great on this car. Has a wide consistent beam that travels nicely up the road.

Getting circa -2.5 degrees negative camber at the front?
Luke replied to git-r's topic in Modifications
If your worried about sidewall wear then alot of other owners suggest a simple tyre pressure change will reduce the wear. I also echo others feeling on driving the car standard on track first off, I think you'll find the car most rewarding if you do this first before changing anything. At a push I'd say a brake fluid swap to dot 4 is the only thing I'd recommend if you're a late braker. -
You should try https://www.ft86motorsports.com/wheelitfit/ It's perfect for checking fitment and gives a very accurate representation. With that offset I'd say you'd be fine. Expect a it more noise vibration and harshness with that setup but many people run similar on here without a problem. Hope this helps.

Wow! That's crazy tax. I'm sure they put the money back into making public transport more efficient and cheaper? Your are committed to the cause for buying the 86 when it costs so much.
-
Utterly gutting. Just seen the before fun You should make a video of the engine sound as it runs so perhaps we could shed some more light on where to problem lies. Gutted for you.

Welcome to the forum, are the Netherlands nice to car owners? Do you see many gt86's there?
-
You have my attention. I thought your knowledge of gm v8's was a bit detailed. I look forward to hearing progress, are you going to have to smash the transmission tunnel in and modify the steering rack to get it to fit without it poking out the bonnet? I've just recently discovered who pure automotive are after looking up k24 swaps.

I've literally just done this. Jack up nsr take wheel off. Get in there with two ten mm spanners and undo the bolts. Arm out you can put the new one in. Or do what I did and just zip tie the arm facing down as a temp fix. I'm ordering the ball heads and threaded rod to DIY my own for a tenner. You can adjust the two 8mm bolts under the bonnet but I'd get it aligned on an Mot test rig unless you don't mind wonky aims. Here's a link to an earlier thread that explains the length of arm depending on how low you've gone. Let us know how you get on.

Okay that's a definitely for me now.

It doesn't sound terminal, just needs true diagnosis which Toyota won't be able to do without huge bills. Get a boxer specialist on it, certainly sounds like an injector fault to me. Going off topic but how can Toyota tell its been remapped?
-
Well that seems like a waste of paint unless you go for black in the first place.
-
Put me in your maybe pile please.
-
What caliper paint did you use? It looks like it's caught fire lol.
-
Very nice mix of multiple skills they both have. It reminds of a production company that made this many years ago that I still watch from time to time. Nothing like a good montage and I bet those radicals are great fun on the track. https://youtu.be/J4xSAtrdJcQ

What width wheel do you have to run to fill out the new arches?
-
Am I right in thinking that you only have to cut the original arches to prevent the extra wide wheels from rubbing on them. Can I also request a video liken to RWB porsche builds? If you're taking a van perhaps you could pick up some other German 86 parts as well.
-
I'm enjoying the journey your documenting for us all to ponder. I expect heavy detail on trying to smuggle a body kit back across the English channel. Followed by hours of sticky tape and laser levels to line up the arches correctly. What are you plans for cutting the wheel arches out? Will you hide the rivets or leave them exposed?

This was my discs after 15 minutes on Bedford. Assuming this is quite normal?

Is there a cheaper alternative to the OEM that is just as good? EBC make some OEM pads and discs, does anyone have any experience with these?
