Hampshire meet Sat 7th July 12.30pm
Test Drives Unlimited replied to Subota Boy's topic in Social Meets
Sorry I can't make it as it clashes with an Event that I will be at instead with the RX-8OC !! Sent from my ASUS_A001 using Tapatalk -
I would put my name forward Rob, but I have my hands full being a member of the RX-8OC Committee and am now the Events Coordinator for the Club. Am also in charge of the Events Team and between all of us, we organise events up and down the UK including Scotland. There is also 3 of us who organise trips to the Nurburgring and Spa-Francorchamps. In fact am taking 12 cars which is about 19 people to Spa-Francorchamps in October this year. Just recently came back from Germany where a few of us went to the Nurburgring again. We also arrange an Annual Meet & AGM every year for our Members to attend, which is also attached to a Track/Sprint Event. I am happy if anyone within the Drivers Club would like to tag along on any of our Events including putting a Club Flag up along side your Group of Cars, although JDM and our Beaulieu Event is Exclusive to Paid up Club Members of the RX-8OC. I have our usual Exclusive Track Session booked at Tunerfest South this year and am happy to fill the excess places up with Members of the Drivers Club. Will of course have to let the RX-8OC Members have first refusal before offering excess places to the Drivers Club though. By the way 2 or 3 of your Members have already joined us on various Events this year. I do hope Members within the Drivers Club step forward as this can be so rewarding when the whole thing comes together, but do agree with Rob that there are times when you wonder why you are putting yourself out for all this when people don't bother showing up or complain left right and centre. I have a Full Spare Wheel in the Boot and 110% recommend carrying one as twice this year have had 2 flat tyres !! I bought the Boot Liner from Australia and cost a fair wack once taking Customs into account ! -
Maxton Designs Skirts/Splitter
Test Drives Unlimited replied to Driftrocker's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
I got the HT Auto Kit although no longer have the Front Splitter as I snapped that in half on my last Track Day !! A word of warning if you put a Splitter on the front of the car, you will be forever hitting Pavement Kerbs, Grounded the front of the car on steep inclines and having trouble getting over speed humps in the road. My car isn't even lowered !! Car still looks smart with just the Side Skirts and Rear Side Splats. Sent from my ASUS_A001 using Tapatalk -
I drive an Automatic on the road and on the track and just leave the car in 'D' and let the gearbox work it all out. On the track I stick the car into 'Sport D' and the gearbox rarely gets it wrong and hardly ever use the Paddles. Modern Automatic Gearboxes are really good now a days and in some cases are far better than Manuals. I certainly don't miss driving a Manual Gearbox ! Sent from my ASUS_A001 using Tapatalk

Toyota/Subaru Boxer Servicing is every 10,000 miles or 12 months at what ever comes first ! My car is serviced twice a year as I do 10k in 6 months !! Sent from my ASUS_A001 using Tapatalk

I can recommend Motorline Gatwick as they serviced my car at 60k and that was 28,000 miles ago...... Sent from my ASUS_A001 using Tapatalk

God knows how much mine is worth now it almost has 88k on the clock....... Sent from my ASUS_A001 using Tapatalk

As I said somewhere above, also advise getting Front Parking Sensors if you park in either tight spaces or multi-story car parks a lot ! Sent from my ASUS_A001 using Tapatalk
-
I would also recommend having Front Parking Sensors fitted to the GT86 [emoji14] Sent from my ASUS_A001 using Tapatalk

I have BT Call Guardian and simply don't get spam calls as it blocks everyone of them [emoji14] Used to use TPS but calls still got through the net !! Sent from my ASUS_A001 using Tapatalk

I might be interested, if it's not clashing with something else within the RX-8OC [emoji14] Sent from my ASUS_A001 using Tapatalk
