    Yes the throttle maps would work well on a Eco map we can limit the throttle opening up to a certain speed so helping fuel economy. Map on the top left is a pretty good economy throttle map.

    Updates for the ECUTEK Software

    There has been another update on the GT86 ECUTEK software after the ability to tune your own car that was rolled out a few week ago; we can now 3D the throttle maps so we can have throttle position versus speed so the throttle maps can now be mapped against throttle position. So basically we can soften the throttle against speed. Original 2D throttle maps are below The new 3D are below; A few people have already have this update and report they are very happy , anyone that has been tuned bu Abbey let me know and I will check what Software you was tuned with and we can then lend you ECUTEK cable and update your tune no problem. We are also working on the cold start issues (noise) as well seems there is a few other calibrations that need modifying that we are unable to get to at the moment , it is being looked in at ECUTEK as we write.

    Yes but the front cat strangles the car at high RPM so removing the front cat helps the car breath a little easier. modifying the stock header is a cheap deal than fitting a aftermarket header;

    Removing the front CAT will always make a gain as the stock CAT is restrictive; Steve's car with a stock exhaust wasnt that far from our Abbey Development car. I not run one on a N/A yet but I am sure it will give a gain , hope to have some data very soon; The one thing we did find out it doesn tmake the car obtrusive like the F20A manifold we have tried on a car.

The system use's 3D imaging camera's to work out cambers and all the other suspension angles the pods that you clip to the wheels are just mirrors to reflect the images from the camera's Awesome equipment it is used by Nissan Mercedes main dealers just to name a few major manufacturers that use this system

    Yes you can now tuning your own car using the ECUTEK software package and cable Cost will be £240-00 + vat (£298.80 inc vat) We can upgrade existing cable owners cables. I will add more information tomorrow for what you can and cant do with this software. thanks

    Yep had a ride out this morning for a photo shot road test for a well known magazine and the new updates on the ECUTEK works very well.

I always wonder why people say the above; I feel if someone knows how to use a dyno a dyno is a far better piece of equipment to tune car on; Can you tell if you have the cams in a right place or if the maximum advance you can run on the road will give maximum performance by tuning on the road. I think when we have the next dyno day we will spend sometime on the dyno and show everyone why you need a dyno to tune these cars.

    FA20 Club equal length manifold

    GT86 in the Abbey workshop today have a few N/A upgrades should hopefully with the New ECUTEK multi throttle maps switchable with Cruise switch make a nice NA GT86.
