What supercharger? (Maybe turbo)
Mark@Abbey M/S replied to chrisrussell's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
They have updated the Part number as they have changed the design. Strange things the 350Z uses the same SC unit and we have never had one fail on a 350Z. -

Mark@Abbey M/S replied to Lauren's topic in Mechanical
Been in conversation with our local dealer regards the recall and can we buy the updated springs. So we are looking into if the later car say a 2017 valves springs will be the same spec as recall springs -

The valve springs being changed wont fix your issue , if it is like the few we have diagnosed it will be a valve control soleniold I expect. -

Going to be interesting , tbh it is a fairly major strip down , motor out , timing chain cover off , timing chain off , cam carrier off , then we fit valve springs without removing the cylinder heads, we have a tool made to allow the spring to be removed with the cylinder head in situ. Hold the valves in position with compressed air. But would I want a dealer working on our car I dont know TBH never had much confidence in our local dealer. -
Well we have been told it would be released early 2018 and here it is; The GT-RS will work real well with the FA20 motor as long as we can control the torque on a stock motor. I think HKS are pushing there luck with running 40 kg/m torque where we run only around 30kg/m max torque on the Harrop SC kit installs. Intercooler set up is very much like our Turbo kit we have produced in very small numbers and now with this kit released we may retire our kit TBH. Will have a think about ordering a kit but I think We will miss the awesome torque the Harrop produces looks like the HKS kit doesn't pull until 3500rpm which I feel will make our light cars a little aggressive on the torque curve. Going to look to work a price out from drive in drive out kit , the HKS stock motor plots had injectors fitted so we hope to be able to tame the tune down to run stock injectors/fuel pump. Should be a awesome piece off equipment thou anything that comes from HKS will be a excellent fit and will look and last for a long time.

Will, presume you have a ECUTEK licesne loaded; So the kit including a safe start map (which will be locked to our Ecutek cable/dongle) £4815-00 inc vat + shipping to you. No stock at Harrop HQ at the moment thou. Just done some working out I can now supply the Harrop kit for £4320-00 inc vat. Any questions PM or email me Thanks
-
So you imported the Harrop in yourself? Harrop car also runs the ACE Anocoda header and now piper cams. I think your e pushing it to make 400bhp on the 98 fuel without the extra capacity and other supporting mods.
-
@TTR did we fit your Harrop SC unit , sorry can tie up TTR to a previous customer name with a Harrop? Thanks
-
Not supplied or fitted any 65mm pullies yet we feel running the stock pulley on the Harrop put the FA20 motor about at its safe limit , we tune for 200lb/ft measured on our Dynapack which is a calculated torque figures from the axle torque divided by the gear ratio's. The Cossie SC car push the torque level a little further when measured on our Dynapack we see around 205/210 lb/ft measured at the hubs on the Full Cossie kit with the headers/exhaust fitted. A built motor running the Harrop will come I do wish we had E85 in the UK thou as I know Harrop have pushed there car even further with the Harrop fitted on a 2.1 HKS motor with some Piper cams we supplied a few months ago. I know they have been seeing 450+ hub BHP.
