  3. HKS GT86 EL header manifold (USED) but newly coated with the expensive Zircotec Coating for heat management. Customer has sold his car so no longer needed. HKSmanifold new is £840-00 inc vat and the Zircotec costing is £590-00 inc vat http://www.zircotec.com/performance-white/ We are looking for £550-00 inc vat for this header. Any questions ask away.     Blow off valve / Diverter valve

    @Rich196 no we are talking about blanking the pipe back into the intake. You will never get boost all the time as the SC will not spin hard enough at low RPM to produce boost

    Adam, so at idle there is a vacuum to the Bypass valve so it will be held open. Free revving the car @ idle will not make any boost so the bypass valve will again be held open. The valve works so when when the car is running at high vacuum i.e small throttle openings it bypasses the charged air back into the the intake so the car will cruise without any boost. As I said we would just bypass the valve to check it is working properly , I am sure Jay on here had trouble with his bypass valve on the HKS install which he swapped out

    Measure boost

    Stock car Map sensor only reads to 0.27 bar I think, so it will only show low boost figures it will flat line over that number but logging Air flow meter voltage will give us an idea what is happening in relation to engine load. Adam, if you are okay with a laptop I can lend you our Ecutek Loaners cable/dongle for investigation work

    Which Tuner?

    I had quoted Nail on the same basic deal as Mike@TD quotes using the TD headers/overpipe which with a good tune provide a very nice tune. Mike @ TD was good enough to allow us to by his items. We are a little more expensive than Mike due to labour rate costs but as @knightryder said we used the FA20 header a long time ago with good results we also use the Ace header but alias it is a very expensive item. I feel we can do a good tune on these car on out in house dyno using the TD parts , any updates can be done in house @ Abbey saves the trip to TD in Warrington and we are a fair way down the line for our own Traction control add on to the Ecutek Remap we offer. @Nails up to you TBH I cant work the deal any cheaper as Mike is is discounting his package already but I can offer top quality service and over 20+ year of tuning trade.any questions ask away

    HKS Upgrade for the FA20 engine

    HKS have just released some new excellent upgrades for the FA20 motor , no prices yet but being HKS wont be the cheapest on the market. The Short block with closed deck linear's is an awesome upgrade with the low compression 2.1LTR stroker kit And finally HKS have jumped on the Turbo upgrade road using the excellent HKS developed Turbo's Looking at the dyno plots it gives some good numbers on a stock motor and once the motor is built it will make our little cars a rocket-ship. Being a HKS distributor we can supply any HKS for the GT86/BRZ family of cars

    HKS Upgrade for the FA20 engine

    The same rods , we have loads of HKS kit running without any issues and Harrop are running a HKS kit on the E85 powered kit with over 450PS at the hub without any issues. Jordans issue was just a 1 off.

    Its our own development not ECUTEK. So will only be available from Abbey and will only be if we have already tuned your car previously or when you upgrade to our tuning. Just speaking to my solicitor as well to check about the liability consequences with this upgrade I
  15. We been waiting for a Ecutek RaceRom update to allow us to push on our Traction control development , being a master tuner we have a Beta RR package that allows us to do this. With some carefully built RR maps and the EVI Ecutek Bluetooth module we have got a pretty good adjustable traction control set up still needs some more work but already it is pretty good Your see wheel slip at the bottom being controlled. Throttle pedal is fully down commanding 80% throttle butterfly opening but our RaceRom custom maps is keeping the Throttle butterfly only @ 54% reducing the power together with reducing timing normally @ 5000rpm and 1.9 engine load we would see around 23/24 deg timing our RaceRom maps are dropping the timing to around 14 degs to reduce the power to keep the wheel speed (slip) under control. The traction is controllable via the Ecutek Bluetooth EVI with a slider to adjust the amount of traction control We should soon have this sorted so when the new RaceRom update is released it will be available to our Ecutek tuned customers. We hope to have 2 levels calibrated to enable use without having a Ecutek EVI module but it wont be adjustable by the driver

    The EVI slider adjusts a multiplier within the traction control RaceRom maps. We actually have 2 adjustments at the moment while we fine tune the set up @DanJ
