these cars suffer from not enough rear suspension travel , you can jiggle most dampers around so you gain some travel back after lowering but you loose some droop which will cause issues when braking hard (dive) the rear dampers top out ( unable to droop anymore) can cause handling issues and lack of droop can make a car uncomfortable on a bumpy road.
-
what ride height are you running? measured under the sill front and back (thin sill joint is best place to measure) Do you know what rear suspension travel you are running ans droop if you know it?
-
quite a big change in rebound with adjustment from minimum to maximum like most single adjustable dampers. What springs did the dampers get supplied with?

Extra silencer fitment is only possible if we can get 20 orders (and paid for ) before development. Which I feel wont be possible. So we are good to go with the larger capacity High Flow cat as we have tested already. So please list below if you want the new Large capacity HFC. Cost will be the same £403.65 inc vat. thanks- 65 replies

that's normal with the early cars rear cambers , go with Super Pro rear camber arm/toe arm kit works a treat. Shame the people aligning the car didnt sort the rear toe's out properly , the Thrust angle will not help needs to be zero thrust

ACE Header for RHD cars in @ Abbey Motorsport
Mark@Abbey M/S replied to Mark@Abbey M/S's topic in Abbey Motorsports
Hi, sorry for the delays in updates , few other projects @ Abbey Motorsport have made us put our Demo GT86 on the back burner for a short time. Got the ACE 400 header fitted together with the new Cobra Larger capacity HFC cat fitted with stock cat back exhaust system. We knew the car didn't need any extra work to remove the dreaded torque dip after fitting the Harrop SC so we knew the ACE header would not give a lot more torque in the mid range but the gains @ high RPM was pretty good. Next step is to get a free flowing exhaust system fitted to the car to see if the stock exhaust system is holding the motor back. Still need to get the ACE headers on a NA car as well thou. -

Abbey Motorsport Cobra larger capacity HFC
Mark@Abbey M/S replied to Mark@Abbey M/S's topic in Abbey Motorsports
Okay been using the the Abbey Demo car with the ACE and Larger capacity HFC fitted , it is a little noisier than before but nothing aggressive, no drone on the motorway. Dyno plots coming soon. Does it need another silencer I suppose it depends on what exhaust system you are running. Cobra are looking into the extra silencer as I type.- 65 replies

Abbey Motorsport Cobra larger capacity HFC
Mark@Abbey M/S replied to Mark@Abbey M/S's topic in Abbey Motorsports
200 cell Ceramic brick, better quality cat than the original Cobra HFC and a large capacity brick as well so it will hold more heat. ACE header bolted back on our Demo car with the new Cobra HFC no additional tuning done , just drove up and carried out a normal MOT emission test. We think we can get a small extra resonator in the blue ringed position but our car with the stock exhaust system is only slight louder than a stock car at idle and general driving , not pulled any full throttle pulls yet as want to check the map on our in house dyno. Should have some news back from Cobra very soon I hope- 65 replies

Working on a 2nd HFC cat pipe with extra resonator at the moment. We are happy to go 280bhp hub bhp without any issues, we can tune the torque from the motor to keep the motor safe as Steve has said the issue with the motors is peak cylinder pressure not bhp @ high RPM. thanks- 65 replies
