; Okay Sorry but we can ride the strengthening of the Aussie $ against our £ at the moment so the Harrop Kit is going to have to rise by £360-00 inc vat , once the currency's stabilise we will be dropping the price back down. I didn't want to do this but we just cant carry the original price any more. Drive in/Drive out fitted costs is now £5782.86 inc vat Self Fit kit is £5251.74 inc vat

Mark@Abbey M/S replied to Rich196's topic in Meets/Show & Shine - Pictures & Videos
Just a little issue.......mis-shifted......common problem in a Zed...resulting in a little sideways time into Woodcote corner ...nothing major at all @Rich196 @AJ124 -

Our demo car isnt powered by a Cosworth SC but your welcome to drive our Harrop SC powered car. -
Had a ride in the TD turbo car...
Mark@Abbey M/S replied to Nicebiscuit's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Look at it this way thou; NA motor making 100bhp per litre capacity is pretty awesome, this means the car will have a very good head design to flow those numbers. Add a small amount of boost will make a very good Boosted motor like we get when we either Super charge or turbo charge the FA20 -

Mark@Abbey M/S replied to Nicebiscuit's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
All the SC system we have fitted use a by pass valve so even at high rpm (spinning the charger faster) at small throttle openings the by pass opens and the air bypasses the SC unit. So no boost is used when cruising. You do need to drive a SC car thou. Your welcome to have a drive in our demo car. -
So does the dyno lie then.........if your formula is right a car would have such a great change in BHP/Torque every car would be sold with a disclaimer saying this car only gives 200 bhp at 20 deb C ambient....... So shall I throw my dyno away and every person that owns a dyno is wasting there time I don't think so. My dyno plots showed the IAT c climb over a controlled dyno pull, which I feel is a good comparison. Did you know too cold IAT can cause issues as well with the fuel not mixing with the air nicely. Dan cars versus yours isn't a true test as Dan is running a very short final drive ratio so will be putting a huge amount of torque to the wheels over your car the rate of acceleration will be totally different. I am going to get back to tuning now in my dyno....

Ade, I am afraid I don't agree with the above workings if so I would always get such a great difference in BHP/Torque on my Dynapack between winter and summer with the same car when in fact we don't maybe 5bhp but not 20/30 bhp I am afraid. Same car same tune dyno plot below just different day , your see the temperatures int he dyno room during the dyno pulls.

I have data from a full 2.3 Cosworth and the Harrop on the dyno at Abbey. The Harrop and Cosworth are very very close in regards IAT climb in a controlled dyno run. Top 2 runs are from a Cosworth 2.3 full conversion the lower 2 runs from an Abbey Car (stock headers,2nd cat delete and exhaust system)

does the spoiler itself not cover the holes, presume it needs extending to cover the holes? thanks
-
The Cosworth instructions don't help you much on the water pipes we have found which in our opinion are a PITA to fit/align nicely. The Harrop is a nice kit to fitbut it always harder when you only fit your own kit and your not working on these cars all the time Both kits we have fitted are on 2 poster ramps so fitting the Charge cooler rad is far easier than laying on the floor. I will look forward to the issue you had with mounting hole/s alignment on the CC Radiator thou. Thanks
