That's what I'm thinking.. Full de cat either way.. With a HFC frontbpipe.
-
Any takers on what is the break bias of the car. Front to rear percentage?
-
OK. Sounds pretty wild. So you bolted on a supercharger kit and did not map it. Could of gone bad. Lucky it did not. I want to de cat my manifold and put a HFC front pipe in instead of my decat front pipe. Obviously with a s.c the engine will be far less strangled and should produce more power. All to find out.
-
OK. So does it feel better?
-
OK. Thanks mate.

Hey knightrider, speaking on experience.. Tell me the difference you have experienced from having your manifold de catted and a HFC front pipe put in from the stock manifold and a normal de cat pipe on the sprintex system.? Yes I know whole new subject but need to ease of the friction on the brake pads Lol...

Wow what a topic this has become. Im just going to buy what mark says if good. Job done.
-
Meant to say bolt on.
-
Just go scrappers and get some used Porsche carbon ceramics he he.. Either way as long as you stop better with pads, full kits, slotted, drilled etc what's the drama.. I'm sure anything or configuration we both on will be better than the OEM set up. I just want to upgrade as I will be going f.I and OEM brakes are not designed for another 100 odd of ponies.

Circuit Sports Non-Res & Blitz De-Cat Pipe

Is the front pipe a hi flow cat? -
D2 or k sports I would class as mid range kits. No where near the cheap option. Seen cheaper. Alcon, brembo and a.p top shelf kits. But let's me serious, we buy for our ability. There is no way I will even touch the capabilities of a mid range kit even with a f.I install. That statement can go for most of our products we bolt on to our cars. Oh with the exception of Lauren who is a racing driver and rob who is probably the quickest novice amongst us.
-
Cheers Lauren. Since I'm not a button or sennna, I think d2 slotted will do nicely. As far as reviews are concerned I take it all in but with a pinch of salt. Look at the gt86. It's was not all song and dance in the reviews. But we all love our cars to bits. Lol End of the day why pay 2k on alcons or ap if I'm not that big to track stuff. But a better biting brake kit, more stopping power and yes looks good in my wheel is all I need. I mean k sports are doing well. A few of us are smashing them on track with zero fade or dramas.

Silver line is the UK's biggest slavage company. Leave them your details and if anything comes in like a bent 86 you will get the call. If they don't have one no one will. Cars go in to them whole. Is even new cars that airbags deployed etc. Worth a shout. Also there is a red cat d 86 on auto trader. Dealer might of put new body panels on etc. Long shot but even a bulb and a few screw will help. Look it up. -

Knightrider.. D2 any good!?
-
I'm going drilled!
-
Gt86
-
Hmmm d2 kits are good for gt96s. Shy of £900 for 6 pot.

Pot
-
Oh what pit are they.
-
Sounds good jay. Where can I get a set. Might save me a bomb
-
Wow thats a lot of info. Info we all can benefit from. It makes me wonder why the top sports cars and super cars use drilled discs. Either way the I drive I could not fry any brake kit. So now I'm looking at a kit that will just make my car look better and obviously stop better on the road.
-
Lauren you own one of my most desired cars in the world. Ae86/ truno. Along with a r35 gtr, 997.2 gt3 rs and of course a gt86.
-
From my research drilled rotors are the best in overall performance, cooling and wear. Why else fit them on gt3's. You know your stuff knightrider, views on drilled?
