Snap Quixote. They are not a mass rim in the u.k at all. Yes rob I've got them mate. They are not floating I don't think as they do not rotate. But from the quality and class of these nuts I'm glad I didn't but cheap on eBay. So only 2 cars with rpf1's damm Lol what colour did you get Quixote? I fit mine on the 3rd. Perfect as I get my car back from mark mapped, withthe biggest pipes of anyone's cars in the form of HKS Legamax premium. As you can tell I'm more of a looks getter than a all out track weapon. Most important mark if fitting my eibach prokit to lower me 25mm. Should bond well with gold rpf1s. -

Detailed and Protected Again :D

I like it. Shiney. I put armour all shield on mine once a week. Not cheap but protects my baby. Then mid week I use a meguliars spray liquid wax to perk her up. But detailing is a very good way to protect your very expensive investment. Good work Keith. -
This is just trivial but who else knew they had a 2nd 12v socket in their glove boxes? Was just cleaning mine out today and saw it. Its not obvious hence after owning 2 gt86 only now have I pinged it. If your unaware look right in at the top of the compartment. And additional socket. For a radar warning system me thinks.
-
Sorry to. Poorly kid. Keith soon mate.
-
Haha. Ouch. You should see my d I y. No manuals. Always got bits left over.
-
Who reads manuals he he I only look at my manual for specs. Tires, oils, lubes and trouble shooting etc. No way would I look at a manual for a 12v socket : ) got one never use it. Got nav. But if your rolling with no nav, radar equip and phone chargers then having 2 is handy. Was just shocked to see another one in such a place, all tucked away.

I just hate stuff like that. Snaps me completely. We work hard to have nice rides thensome chopper comes alone to do this to peoples cars. If I had my way I'd call my lads and get rid. Hope the cops get him. Hope you OK Lauren and not shaken up.

No matter how good a product is in a shop if the customer service is pump then you feel deflated anyway. Personally I wouldn't even buy a tin of beans from them.
-
Pity mate. Shame on them.

Castle coombe track day. 14th april
CHOSENMAN007 posted a topic in Meets/Show & Shine - Pictures & Videos
Did not know whether to post this on an event or not. As I was on my toddger show and shine it is.My aim was to push my car and learn to drive it at the limit before I go forced induction. I hade ample time on track courtesy of my mate John Avery who owns circuit motors on castle coombe track. It was great to feel the difference between fast road and track was all about. This was my first time to track. On you tube it looks so easy but is it hell!corners came fast and getting the right lines to clip the Apex's was hard. But after my 5th lap it was coming together. My first 3 laps was with John who is a pro, with 24 hrs nurburgring under his belt. He made it look easy. After that I went out on my own, Franky I go eaten alive my 600 break tvrs, atoms, stripped out cupras and the rest. The truth I did not give a damm, I was having to much fun. Just me and my 86. In the paddock my car got the most attention like no one there has seen a 86.after my laps John took me out in one of his race cars, a s2000 to show me how its done. We ate caterham super lights with John at the wheel. Next John took my car into his shop, circuit motors just off the track. Got my GFB light weight pulleys installed. Yes I felt and saw the difference. Though small I definitely noticed the car quicker to rev and slightly more lively.. Here is a few pics of my day. Wish I had a go pro and a pro can. But no I was a tourist with my mobile.. Wish I had more pics, sorry guys. PS.. Stock pipe apart from a miltek over pipe scored a 76db rating a 4.000 rpm for the noise test. Can't wait for my Hks legs Mac to go on at abbey on the 28th Lol -

Ah ha. This is where the mechanic at castle coombe found a way to lock off the crank. Point to note my new 86 is a auto not my old manual. He got the car up on a lift got in between the transmission sump and engine block popped in a massive flat head into something, that held the crank in place while another dude loosened off the crank with a torque wrench. Wala heavy industrial pulley off very light one on. He then checked online for the correct torque figures to tighten the new pulley up. Very important to get that right I was told. To loose very bad, to tight very bad. Had to be exact pressures. On the drive home I enjoyed the difference.. You really have to know your car to feel the change as its a small change. Ibfelt the engine had a monkey off its back. Rev needle moved around brisker. Overall I'm happy so its worth it. Once your hold the 2 pulleys and see the difference in weight its crazy. The crank is the main one I suggest you aim to get off. But I guess the package of all 3 pulleys are better. Go GFB pulleys good quality and not pricey. -
Litchfield are pump mate! Was supposed to get a call. But nil points. Bad way of doing business. I would not give a tuner £k's of my hard earned dosh if they can't even email you back! Its says they don't give a £u%k basically. So after care would be worse to. Sticking with abbey.
-
Cheers thanks Lauren. Going to test robs car again on the 28th when I drop my car into abbey for mods.
-
Love to see it in action mate. Let's get a mini / f.I fair. For all members and potential buyers like myself. Either way we are due a mini meet. Rob organise buddy.
-
Cheers Ian. So what's a stage 2 consist of?
-
IIan I know you got the ark exhaust which is muted, but you want it that way. I did enjoy the boost your car had, put me in the seat like Lol your car has enough power for me. If I can get drama with it I may go avo. That's all I want really. Not looking for a Santa pod dragger. Lol your running stage 2 are you not? Breather and boost controller etc?!
-
I spoke to Litchfield yesterday asking for a demo mate. Said car was gone.
-
Here's one Ian. With my Hks legamax exhaust will it sound fruitier than yours? You have the forge dump valve, would the avo variant be more loud?
-
Exactly Lauren.. I totally agree with you. I'm not spending that kind of money on nil wow factor. Sound and feel has to be there. What would I need to go stage 3? Its that state of tune hard on the stock parts?
-
Vortech have a lot of info on the net and YouTube. Yes I've seen that tarmacsports sell the kit. Its listed at £3.600. Which is not to bad really.
