Knightrider Litchfield don't even have one anymore, they sold their car. So no more test car.
-
Yeah think I do Ian. Why did you go turbo?
-
Well if we are going to spend 4.5k and above on these kits we should lay it all out now. I think a lot of us are going or want to go f.I.not much threads about staying n.a from what I see. All opinions and views are very educational. But if you say turbo as an example please state the reason why. Etc.
-
Knightrider, why the rotrex kits?
-
Was the avo faster? What do you think of the build and components in quality? Reliability? I had the opposite experience, felt robs car had the noise and drama and ian's car was the muted one. I do admit ian's car had a more stealthy approach in terms of sound. No denying ian's car put me back in my seat more. I guess more testing is needed.

Thanks Lauren. Good reply. More to think about.

Yeah they are. What has pitman got in his bonnet? I am really liking the vortech kit. Done a lot of research on it. As for big turbo power comes the unknown variables. Big power vs longevity. More stress on parts, transmission engine internals and the rest. I just want a full bolt on kit make just enough power and know it will last and perform day in and day out. That where feel an s.c kit wins. I'm sure turbo systems are bomb proof in their own right. But from want i have experienced the supercharged gt86 wins all rounds. Sound, check. Delivery of power, check. Looks check. Suited to our cars character, check. Even pro racing drivers told me to go s.c. I personally cannot argue. But I am not taking anything away from turbo kits. Its just not for me as a driver. We are all different so we all want different things from our cars.

If anything when you do get your car back and if you do need further work gobto a forum friendly dealer mate. Much better. As for Toyota UK they are doing nothing wrobd thus far as they can only work with what the dealer feeds them. But keep pushing. Call them everyday and ask for situation reports. Ask to speak to the mechanic in person that is working on your car bud. I feel for you as I can imagine how you feel. As for me total opposite, great relationship with my local dealership.

Sounds fun. The car is mega tail happy. All good but I tamed that by putting on Dunlop sportmaxx rt's on. They are a very soft compound tire and work awesome. No more uncontrolled slides. I slide when I want her to now with provocation. : ) that's the way I like it. The Dunlop's are not dear either.

Castle coombe track day. 14th april

I'm sure rob has something on the drawing board. Indianapolis? Lol heard the do a good hot dog a soda deal. Or any other track of your choice. Thruxton are not friendly mate. They are focused on those driving packages you get in Argos and stuff. As of pulleys I defo recommend the crank pulley. The weight difference was not a joke! I can see how the OEM part hampered the motor. Not a big difference by replacing them but you do notice the car having a more urgent pick up. -

Exhaust is supposed to say HKS legamax lol -
You keep pushing mate. I feel for you. Your well within your rights. Just a thought why not just go to another more Forum friendly dealer. Ie rrg or jemca toyota they help out a lot of us who have tuned cars. I'm sure they will not leave you cold especially on a full stock car. car.either way if its tuned or not your trans is stock so they must sort it out. Hell i had a squeek from my fuel pump. , twice. West over toyota changed it no questions asked not even a bat of a eye lid. Sounds to me you just have a main dealer issue. Shop around, as a toyota owner you can go to any dealer for work. give it a go. Just a pity you have to go else where. Write in to Toyota UK. I'm sure they will sort out your local dealer plus comp.name and shame.

TINT AND TOW HOOK IN A ONER
CHOSENMAN007 replied to CHOSENMAN007's topic in Meets/Show & Shine - Pictures & Videos
I think they are good enough. Rob saw them yesterday. But if you are going to use them for towing a recommend going for real Cusco items. These are aluminium 100%. Just not branded. I bought them as they where cheap and more for the aesthetics..I rather use the OEM hook for track days. Just like tomorrow at castle combe. Fancy it. 13:00 at the track? -
Today I went te Phil at Tintinit to guess what!? Get tinted.I went for my side rear windows at 80% and the rear at limo shade. So basically dark. Just though I would post some pictures for fun. Phil is located in wilts, Salisbury. I can't fault him on price, hospitality and his endeavour to get it perfect. As a r34 owner and big on the JDM seen in wilts he understands how our car but heads work. Just used and met Phil today so this is no advertising ploy. Just a great bloke that goes quality work. Is your in the wilts, Salisbury area go see him at Tintinit! Bet he can be at your quote to. Cheers Phil I'm a happy chap. The rear quarter pic is the end result.
-
Lolon detailing the car today I saw a couple of small bubbles by the rear light.Phil is looking into how to remove the rear light so he can re do the rear no charge. He takes pride in his name and the tuning seen. Other tinters would charge you and say it happened after you left. Good bloke Phil.
