Lies, the other side has free cake! Can't say no to cake

Hihi I wouldn't worry too much about an ECU flash, especially from established tuners on these forums as a lot of testing and logging has gone into them to get the best out of the engine. There was a case a while ago I think with a turbo owner and vvti issues who had difficulty getting it seen to straight away but eventually parts were swapped out under warranty. Have the Cosworth 1.1 kit here (installed before they split the packages). Yes it cost more than other parts, probably not as many bhp as other parts, also it's just a bolt on kit rather than it being personally tuned, but the time invested in testing/dyno/engineering if there's an issue with their tune on my car I know I have the support of Fensport who installed it and Cosworth who mapped it to investigate any issues who I trust with the car more than any of my local dealers. The graph on Cosworth's site probably shows it better than I can explain it, with the remap (+filter +thermostat) you'll get more top end power but a catback will help get more out of it, and adds a bit of noise. I enjoy the car more with the extra poke it has Usually try to attend most meets, there's one at Amber next weekend in Dunstable where there will be a couple of Cosworth cars and they sell the kit too.

Northern Meet/Open Day @ Tuning Developments

I think you've chosen the one weekend I'm free! Will let you know closer to the time but I'm up for a poke and BBQ (no matter what the weather) -
No swapping out for me, they changed the blue so I'd have to get it re-painted elsewhere. I'm guessing this will be Subaru's answer to the GT86 Aero, so not a facelift as such.

It's a nice unit to have "built in" and fine for simple routing, has a few POI's built in... but for alternative routes, speed upates, traffic etc it's very behind compared to google based mapping (my maps will always show the M1 being 50mph due to roadworks now and I'd have to pay to change that). For the £500+ it would cost to fit I'd look elsewhere. I bought a sim free Nokia 930 Windows phone (£200) which has a free offline sat nav that we used in europe, much better than the Garmin unit the co-driver borrowed which basically died after crossing into Belgium. Also has gmaps, waze etc, syncs with bluetooth. My phone gets more use in the car than it does for work.

I get to drive some lovely roads to get here, so I'm in Will spare "julies" be supplied?

The "new content" star seems to fill my fix of latest posts, if there's a way of expanding it to 10-15 that would be great , but 5 was how it was before so I can live with that

Will have a go, used to use the "full site" as it had the most recent posts on the right hand side which was quicker to use than browsing the lot, but this one does have a "recent activity" section that's close enough.

it's lost "full mode" from the bottom of the forum, stuck using the mobile skin.

Might as well post here rather than create a thread for a handful of photos, feel free to move them. -
Next Car Game Mini Meet - Southam Midlands - 30th Aug

Volunteered to cover parts, it's a circuit I've not covered before and would be good to walk around before the final round, also want to try a few things a little different due to kit limitations as I'm planning a kit upgrade over the winter if I do it again next year. -

It's 2 hours from Cadwell so not sure I'd be able to get there for a reasonable time -
I know it's probably a little late but on the other side they're planning an early October sing along to compare noise and possibly dyno runs for those who want to know how well the mods are working.

It gets worse... that quoted price is for the Supercharger (2.0), the 1.0 map, 18" wheels, AP Racing BBK and KW suspension, it doesn't include the exhaust components of 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 (catback, mid pipe, manifold) which is another £3,800 on top to get the full 280bhp. You can either get the supercharger by itself (1.0+2.0) for £5500 and have 260bhp out of the box with the SC kit, or stay NA and max out at 230bhp for £4500. At that price why would you even stay NA?

Free sound generator on/off mod using 12v cover from glovebox
Steeps replied to DanJ's topic in Modifications
I started off with a set of earplugs in mine, but lost them when I had a loaner GT86 for a week (forgot to take them out, wonder if the new owner found them). Moved onto the cig socket cover when I installed my dashcam after seeing the size was similar. Having a different exhaust fitted the piped sound didn't suit the car anymore. -
Buckmore uses the SODI karts which are the cheaper price originally quoted at Daytona, but at £88 for a 10min/45min session, compared to Daytona at £70 for a 10min/40min session. The price hike is to use the DMAX ones.

Finally paid. Bought too much stuff with my "bank transfer" account but found out phone now works as a PINsentry device so I can use my normal accounts again without carrying around the calculator.

Say something naughty like asking how to get the best MPG or why don't they make a Diesel model and you'll quickly find out who the Moderators are One thing I do like is how membership is optional, too many clubs operate "u gotta pay m8 to see stuff" when all you're really looking for is a part number for a clip to hold some trim on your mum's car before she takes it to the dealer.

I'm going to need to see that full break down of costs, supplier lists, order history and distribution network risk assessments before I can make an informed decision... or just tell me to shut up and accept it I'm still good for my order, and I'd prefer to collect at a meet to save you guys on the postage costs as I'm usually at a few.

Can we keep the reduced rate if collected at a meet? (*cheapskate)

Toyota GB don't care at all about this and didn't seem to understand my concerns from a customer point of view. As far as they are concerned it's been signed off by all departments as acceptable because the car may need a "full" service at 2 years before covering 20k miles (it might hit 20k at 3 years which is an int. service, but requires diff oil) or it hits a "full" service within the first year which means it doesn't need brake fluid. Anything to keep the cost low for the consumer to make them more competitive, even though both Nissan and Ford offered to undercut them by over £50. Why they don't simplify the service, add £20 to the total fixed price and just do the work when it's required instead of neglecting train staff properly about the service consumables required for this model. In my job if I do not know the answer to help the customer, I either have to look up the information and justify my answer with facts and sources, or pass them onto someone else who can help them. Toyota GB customer relations and quite a few dealer call centres don't seem to have this approach and seem to stick their heads in the sand, very unhelpful. I'm going through the paperwork from my 2nd service. The costing sheet says the work was requested and done, but the service sheet says the work wasn't done... which am I supposed to believe?

New black steelies on the van, shame someone ruined the shot by planting a Corsa in front of your camera.
