Hmmm yeah doesn't look much better than my current solution. Something that would cover the front of the bench part would be best. Handsome looking fella there though. Here are the two dickheads I'm trying to cater for
-
That would be ideal, but given the 86 has no rear headrests, not sure what I could attach those loops to. It would be handy as the sideflaps could protect the plastic trim at the sides though.
-
They displayed fine for me, too.

Hardly driven the car much recently, so just decided to take it for a quick blast up to Allhallows and back to blow away some cobwebs. Sky looking very wintry and moody over the marshes

Drop-in HKS Super Hybrid Panel Filter
Conscript replied to Conscript's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
Not a huge amount, but it does sound a little louder and deeper. I only fitted it after I'd already had the ACE manifold fitted, so the car sounded different anyway, I'm led to believe the difference is more noticeable on a stock motor. The throttle also felt like is responded a little more sharply, but that could be a bit subjective. -
Used but only in use on the car for about 4000 miles, so still in very good condition and includes the original box. Nothing wrong with it, I just picked it up to experiment with a little with the sound, but decided to stay with the stock filter for now. Item is located in Rochester, asking for £20 £15 collected, or I can post it 1st class for an extra £5. PM if interested

I've always found using deicer causes the inside of the glass to mist up quicker. I now just leave a bottle of water by the radiator near the front door. In the morning, go out, poor a little on the side window (if it's badly frosted) so I can open the door cleanly. Then start the engine, turn on heated rear screen, and pour the lukewarm water over the windscreen - then immediately turn the wipers on. All frost/ice cleared instantly, and the water cleared so it won't refreeze. Pour the remaining water on the side and rear windows, sling the empty bottle in the boot and drive off. I used to do this every day when I was commuting in winter. It would take me at most 2 minutes to be driving away with clear glass all round, whilst I'd see some of my neighbours spending much longer scraping away.

Bump! This is still available. Dropping the price slightly, £15 -
That's the only way I can see that it can happen, if the caliper isn't loose. Disc so tin that when applying the brakes, the caliper pushes the pad all the way through the carrier and it just slides out with the disc. Bizarre!

Good shout. You might even be able to swap just the parts you need to end up with a fully working mirror.
-
I don't know anything about the settings being different between LHD/RHD markets, but have you checked that the mirror glass is firmly seated before trying anything else? It might sound silly, but when I swapped mirror glass, I had to give it a good firm push to make it clip onto the mechanism. Could it be possible that it's not clipped in securely on one side and now the angle is on the piss? Probably not, but it's worth a check in case it's an easy fix! If worse comes to worse, give me a shout because I have a drivers side mirror unit that I'm trying to sell. You're just need to swap over the painted plastic part from your original mirror. I bought it of an ebay breaker when someone smashed my winger mirror, I just needed the painted plastic part.

I replaced with the MTEC spring. The clutch feels much more natural now. I toyed with the idea of removing entirely, but the spring serves the dual purpose of making the clutch pedal feel lighter when depressed, but it also keeps it fully raised when released...as said, if you remove the spring entirely, the pedal will have some slack at the top. Did a write up here: http://www.gt86ownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic13209_post178699.html#178699

Left the other key inside the car somewhere? Think that makes a continuous tone. I also hear that when I try and lock the car with the boot open, perhaps your boot lock could be faulty and telling the car it's still open or something?

Bought the part yesterday and gave it a few coats of cheap lacquer, hoping to keep it protected. Aiming to replace it in a bit (I'm having a very lazy Sunday :p)
-
I'm guessing coating it in something would be prudent though, as no doubt it will suffer the same fate as the original.

Yesterday morning.

A good point. It's just the last time I had to deal with a parts department, they were less than helpful if you didn't know the exact name of what you were looking for. So I tend to look up part numbers in advance.
-
Cheers, if you could that would be appreciated. In the meantime, I'll try and do some digging online and see if I can find it, if @Robert Williams doesn't respond
-
Hello..bit of a thread bump, but did we find out the part number? Checked mine the other day..rusted to buggery, but I'm out of warranty by a few months. For the sake of 30 quid, happy to replace it myself if it's easy to do.

We had snow all day yesterday, but it didn't settle on the roads until the evening. So I popped to the shops for some doughnuts, if you catch my drift. Wink wink.

Hello, Selling this functional GT86 offside (driver's side) wing mirror. It's a whole unit including the glass, missing the outer cowling of the door bracket. Looking for £170 ono + delivery, or collection from Rochester if preferred. Please note - the white plastic upper has the outside tip broken off, but this mirror was NOT involved in an impact. Someone clipped the mirror on my own car and drove off - the painted plastic part was damaged, but the rest of the mirror was intact. So I found a whole mirror second hand on ebay, swapped the plastic cover and I'm now selling the same mirror unit on, but with my damaged cover. See last image for close up. These mirrors are only available as a whole from Toyota, incredibly expensive to buy from (£500+), so I'm hoping I can sell this one on to help someone out who only needs to replace the actually body of the mirror, or who isn't bothered by the painted section, wants to cover it with carbon fibre, etc. Pictures below:

Well, it isn't enough if you're looking to race people on dual carriageways, no. I don't think that's really what the car was designed for though. Plenty enough to enjoy on a deserted twisty road at 6AM on a Sunday though. However, although I'm not bothered by a factory turbo option, I think his comments are a bit of an evasion. A whole new platform just because adding a turbo would mean slightly more weight in the front? Surely easily offset by moving the battery to the rear or something. Besides, there are plenty of aftermarket turbo options which seem to enhance the existing platform.
