Hi Guys. I'm organising a mini-meet at the Lion Inn in Boreham near Chelmsford, Essex. Everyone's welcome. The date is 8th Feb 2015. I'll be there from 11:00 onwards. Time for a chat, some tyre kicking, a drink or two and then some food at lunchtime. The Lion Inn, Main Road, Boreham, Chelmsford, Essex, CM3 3JA After lunch, if the weather's OK, I was thinking of driving over to Saint Peter's-on-the-wall on the Essex coastline, via Hatfield Peveral and Maldon. It's the oldest standing Christian chapel in England. You can't drive right up to it, but there is a car park from which you have to walk for about 10 - 15 minutes to get to it and the coast. If this link doesn't work, copy and paste. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Church+of+Saint-Peter-on-the-Wall/@51.73535,0.93992,728m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x47d919010de89559:0x4718f26a3a995260 Bring a warm coat and shoes you can walk in; high heals are a no-no. I'm looking forward to seeing some of you there. Cheers

Neither did the sacrificial virgin. Poor old Chris. -
The manual states to run it in for 1000 miles and not going over 4000 rpm. Some other countries have limited edition Gialos. Italy have only 50 in their series though they are not individually numbered by the looks of it. http://www.toyota.it/gamma/gt86/gt86-limited-edition.json The US has a Scion Gialo of some sorts. Series has 1500 cars and they seem to have added TRD bits and pieces to it too. http://www.scion.com/cars/release_series/FRSRS1/ France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Canada (don't even sell the GT86 there), Australia, Poland, Russia, Czek Republic and New Zealand don't do the Gialo.

Hi Tasha and welcome. My first thought was 'Nox', not OXO. So when's the nitrous getting installed?

Hi Guys. Yesterday we had our Essex Mini Meet, held at the Lion Inn in Boreham and at Bradwell on Sea. 12 people turned up in an assortment of vehicles, including a blue BRZ and a silver Yariz (Keith's excuse is that his car is at Fensport having uprated internals fitted to his pride and joy. I think he liked the go carts so much, he's sold it and downsized to the Yariz ). After basking in the sunshine, chatting and inspecting mods and stuff, we went indoors and had a couple of drinks. We made full use of the comfy chairs and sofas supplied by the Inn for us to sleep in. At about 12:30, we lost Keith who had to return home and the rest of us sat down to lunch. Chicken Liver Paté, Hand made burgers and frites, Pork belly with mash, veges and a Cider sauce, and other stuff were consumed. All very good food. After lunch, about 3pm, we lost Carla (Tank Girl) and then made our way to Saint Peter's on the Wall. The route took us from Boreham to Hatfield Peveral, Maldon, Latchingdon, Mayland and then Bradwell on Sea. The last couple of hundred meatres were covered on foot and then, after performing the sacrifice of a virgin on the alter (Chris volunteered for that), we wandered an extra 200 metres to the edge of the marshes where we could see across the Blackwater estury towards Mersey island, Harwich and Felixtow and out to the North Sea. Again, we chatted about cars, midwifery, women with pink boots and dogs in pink coats (yes, she and they passed through us twice) and the location of Southend on Sea. At about 5pm, just before dusk, it started getting a bit chilly so we sauntered back to the cars where Chris (I think) showed us his car's UFO disguise. Lots of lights under the car that change colour with the shake of a remote control. The local taxi driver, who was passing buy looking for custom, admitted he preferred the 'yellow' one, to the calls of the others saying 'Don't let him hear that! His head's big enough as it is!!'. I measured my head when I got home and it was it's usual normal size, so not sure what that was all about. We then parted company and made our SatNaved way home (apart from me and Nick. We are locals), some via the nearest Shell garage. Hope everyone made it. I belive a good time was had by all. Thanks to all of you who turned up and 'see you next time' to those of you who missed it. Now I have to figure out how to get my photos loaded into this site. Cheers

Well I've washed my car today as it had collected a lot of road dirt when I went down to Christchurch last week. The Borg's almost hit the magic 1,000 mile mark so will soon be revving the nuts off it. I look forward to seeing you guys tomorrow. Cheers

My mum's had about 5 Yarises over in France. I've driven them all and I rate them. Deffo a good car for learning in. Good choice Nick. My first car was a VW Beetle. The first car I drove 30 minutes after passing my test....My mum's Austin Princess 2.2 HLS.

Saw the Bond Bug episode. Reminded me of the guy who had one in Chelmsford back in the 70's. We all used to stare at it from the back of the bus.

Give me a GT86 with 200bhp over any hot-hatch with 400bhp. It's like comparing chalk with cheese. The looks, the feel, the drivability, the fun, the smile. Need I go on?

Is that a Cobra MkIII in the distance?!?! -
Hi Alec. Hope you have fun putting it all together and I look forward to seeing the finished job. Cheers.

The lights look interesting Faith. Do you use them for better illumination when babies are born? I'm looking forward to seeing them in their rightful place.

How long do you plan to keep your 86/BRZ?
Musketeer replied to griffinnn's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
I planned to keep Tripple Ecks till yesterday when I swapped it for the Yellow Peril. I am now the proud owner of GT 86 Giallo No 5 of 86. Most of my mods are coming off Tripple Ecks and I'll be putting them onto Yellow Peril. I was told by Adam (Lancaster's Chelmsford) that there are only 2 unsold GT86 Giallos left in the country, and they have one of them (No 83 of 86). So if you want one, get going or you'll have to wait for them to appear in the secondhand market. When I get to see my car in daylight, I'll take some photos and post them up. Gacialfire. I only have the 'go faster' stripes on the sides. Not a great fan of the decals over the bonnet, roof and boot. Cheers. -

Yaeh. The rear diffuser's not clip-on. -
Thanks for the offer Keith. I did get a ride in yours after you had your bionic suspension tweeked by the nice lady from Japan. My car's n/a and probably always will be so I'll put new engine mounts at the bottom of the list. Cheers

Thanks Keith. Love the Yellow, the full leather seats and I get the exclusivity of having No5 all for an extra £3 per month. Yellow is a bit of a 'Marmite' colour, but I love Marmite and I love the GT in this rich yellow. it looks stunning! The diffuser is bolted onto the car so would leave holes. I will buy a new diffuser for the new car. The positive shift bush is only £40 so I'll buy a new one of those for the Yellow Peril.
