I was up at 45 when I did it and was a good thing. You spin off a few times and one of the side effects was that I blew my hose off the idle air valve and the car started stalling and could not idle. If any of you get into this situation, it's a quick fix. Remove the engine plastic cover and you will see a dislodged rubber hose. Connect that back in and put the cover on. In what configuration? Ade and you have an SC which will give a different sound to those having an NA manifold and tune and to those having a totally stock manifold. Sent from my SM-G970F using Tapatalk

If you wanted one, there is the Subaru sports muffler, as its called. An axleback made by Remus, whose name speaks for itself. It is EU type approved, so cannot be crazy loud. The only thing that i dislike about most aftermarket exhausts is the tips. The OEM tips look fab to me with a lot of Chrome.. I too carry a full size OEM wheel as spare. I did see the OZ boot liner which is also available with Toyota UK. They keep claiming it's for 2017+ models only but am pretty sure will fit older models. I use my original one with some insulation on sides of tyre. Makes the depth of boot smaller but hey ho my car is 50-50 perfect weight distribution not 53-47, as manufactured. Gives you everything you need to know against the standard GT86. Small things which could matter to some and could not. Came in solid paint not metallic and 16 inch alloys instead of 17.

I had the TPMS issue with a damaged valve and leaking air. I purchased an autel sensor and used @scbrz to help clone the blank autel sensor with the TPMS sensor code. I read the code on my car with the Carista app but had to do a bit of a fiddling around to know which one was on which tyre by removing air and then refilling it to see pressures move. For anyone wanting to do it 5 simple steps: 1. Identify your faulty sensor /s. 2. Read your sensor codes using Carista app on your phone. You will need a carista dongle or bluetooth OBD2 reader to get it to read. 3. Get in touch with @scbrz via PM and get his help to configure/clone the sensors correct. 4. Go to a tyre repair shop and swap the valves across. 5. Reset your TPMS sensor on your car to read it. PS: Carista also gives you an opportunity to edit the sensor codes, if you plan to get pre configured sensors but this is a paid service i believe. Carista premium can be rented for £10/mth IIRC.

Exactly as Will said, a turbo quietens the exhaust significantly and a manifold only increases the exhaust noise quite a bit, if combined with an aftermarket exhaust. The super res came as a result of the manifold change. So OE manifold + Res exhaust will be quieter than Decatted aftermarket manifold + super res, give or take Similar for turbo + res will be quieter than Decatted manifold+ super res typically. Reason is a cat muffles exhaust sound and so does a Turbo. Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk

I have been following your thread with a lot of interest and while its a hard one to say, i think with all the time and effort put in and hiccups along the way, this should be the last straw. Cut your losses and part out will be my suggestion, sad though it is.

Add to it most of the NA modified cars have a lighter manifold and overpipe than stock, circa 3Kg less 6kg vs 9 IIRC. So matters even more I guess. Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk

Will not be an issue and as said above be a bit kind to it and don't rev high. Speak to Mike or better Nick at tuning developments to get their learnings or best practise and share it with your tuner. As you are not in the UK, they might give you good tips , otherwise we drive across from one part of the country to the other to get to them for this 😀

Make sure you take it to a good ECUTEK tuner who has done these cars before to get the best result as there is a lot of timing adjustment needed, I believe. And go in with a tank of super unleaded/premium 98 octane fuel. Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk

Nice one Kev. Those aero fins on the roof. Every little helps! Why forged internals if you are limited on the boost you can give or the power you can make (aka 280), which is well within the tolerances of a stock engine?.

I do not think £275 is over. It is fair depending on how much labour costs in your area as Subaru do not follow Toyota's approach of uniform pricing across the country as they do not have the size and scale in this country. For e.g. where i and you incidentally live, main dealer labour is circa £100/hr incl vat. Up north Subaru dealers charge £70/hr but premises and labour costs are much lower there. Of what's left of service as you say, is only Air filter and pollen filter both of which you can do yourself but if you get it done from the dealer, the cost will be circa 80£ all in. To give a comparable price Toyota charge 80£ for diff oil change as a one off job. Makes it £160 now costing £95 for plugs. It is not a rip off for sure and if i were you i will not take this further and actually sweeten David and Kelvin to say do a good job and take your time with recall rather than save a few £ on service.
