If they had done that in the beginning they might have sold more in the UK. They sell like hot cakes in Oz where they are cheaper than the MX5.

Same here - I see more Aston Martins and Audi R8's in a week than I have seen GT86's in a year. -

Other than meet-ups have only seen two in the wild ! -
I bought an unused Subaru 3.0 Legacy spacesaver, size T135 70 D17 on e-bay for £0.99, it fits the hub and wheel-well perfectly. It was advertised as from a 2007 3 Litre Subaru Legacy. To clamp it down buy an Aygo wheel clamp T51931-0H010 from your friendly Toyota dealer for 4.87 + VAT. Job done !

Very nice wheels, even lighter than mine too. -
Hi Jamie and welcome.

Took the GT86 in to Hills Toyota at Letchworth today for it's first service at 8500 miles and one year from registration. Also asked the Service Manager to look at the apparently common problems of oil leaking onto exhaust creating a burnt oil stench and the battery going flat if unused for five days.

I used to clock up between 20k and 30k miles per annum during my working life. Very glad all my miles are now for pleasure what with price of fuel, state of roads and amount of traffic. I can chose what roads to use, when and in what car.
-
What is work ? I have been retired ten years and only do about 7k miles per annum spread over my three toys.

Grippy Tyres supplied, fitted and balanced tyres for my new 18" alloys using their mobile fitter. I was very happy both with the fitted price and the service, however I did not let them near the GT but fitted the wheels myself.

whether I should assume anything about the weather!

Rained continuously for hours in North Herts. -
No front or rear view pics at the moment but will try to remember to take some more pics. These were ET50 whereas Stock are ET48 so almost the same. The bare wheels were 7.25 Kg when weighed before tyres fitted. Not sure what they are with tyres. Link to Team Dynamics info on "Visage" alloys http://www.teamdynamicsracing.com/pro-forged/visage.htm

Bought off E-Bay, advertised to fit an MG ZT or Rover 75 which has the same pcd, and centre hole and similar offset as the GT86. They were all boxed and shrink wrapped on a pallet. My guess is that they were purchased as part of a job lot when the old MG/Rover factories were cleared out by the Liquidators. My other E-Bay bargain was an unused 17" space saver from a Subaru Legacy bought for £0.99 and a contribution to the kids sweet fund.

My set of four new 18 x 7.5 Team Dynamics "Visage" forged alloys cost me all of £325 including pallet delivery, was I robbed ?

Future of more powerful GT86 in doubt + BMW engines for other Toyotas
Qu1ckn1ck replied to Lauren's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
For the first year the car was over-priced and dealers were refusing to discount presumably on orders from Toyota HQ. After the initial heavy pre-launch and launch marketing campaign I have had no contact from Toyota nor seen any GT86/BRZ adverts. I get regular updates from Mazda, Ford and Honda (???) on their offerings but not Toyota. Little wonder that the sales have been behind target in my view. The fact that it appears to be a Subaru cuckoo in the Toyota Dealer's nest and many dealers appear to have little interest or even knowledge of the GT86 also does not help sales.
