    Harrop/Eaton S/C

Temperatures are the result of time spent at higher RPM. Faster revving would possibly keep temps down. If anything a longer FD will increase temps as you're in the rev bands longer.

    No, it's completely unrelated.

The H&S cracked in a hard spot to repair well. It was the Cossie prototype one too.

You'd need cams to get the most out of them as it lends itself to higher RPM, our stock cams don't. Based on my knowledge of K/B series engines, you could get similar peak power aa low boost applications, but obviously without the torque. The FA20 would need more work than those though. They do sound bloody awesome.

    ITB's Anyone?

It's all to do with the runner length, which is determined after the throttle. It's not really an intake manifold but a plenum chamber, with individual throttles it should mean that all the cylinders get better distribution of air. I guess the plenum allows a MAF to be run, colder air feed and a single filter.

    ITB's Anyone?

Folllow the rest of this thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63901&page=35 Celek's ITB'd 2.3 (I think) NA engine build due for completion early this year. The problem with ITBs are that getting the stock ECU is not built to run Alpha-N type fueling, I would guess that the GReddy is going to be running a Motec. I have an idea of how you could implement ITB fueling with ECUtek, not sure whether it would actually run though and would need a lot of time mapping.

I agree, looks like a turbo. I see a GReddy sticker.

    Keith's Trip to Dubai 2017

Wow, that's a massive contrast to the 38-43 I experienced.... We couldn't walk anywhere outside for literally more than 1 minute at a time even in the shade. That was September.

    Robs S/C GT86 Project

They revised parts in the heads late 2013, I believe the valve rockers were improved. There are cases in the US where they've punched a hole through the casing as they're ejected. There's only one reason to improve something.... http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84282&page=6

What I am tempted to try: Better water-to-air intercooler Higher flow water pump Better coolant mix Bigger reservoir perhaps I don't think there's room for a better core in the SC otherwise they would have done it. You could end up restricting airflow too much. I've always been in the mindset that once you open up an engine, it'll only need more work down the line no matter how well you build them. There's no substitute for OEM build..... well perhaps there is by FHI standards, I'm used to Honda OEM B-series engines always lasted longer than built ones, used less oil, required less maintenance etc. I wish Honda would bloody hurry up and replace the S2k, factory boost FTW! Nice car, I keep trying to convince the other half to replace the Audi with one.

Based on the fact that these engines are becoming seemingly more fragile, I'm not even remotely interested in more power than what I've got. MY12/13 cars have less robust heads as well. A blower change makes little financial sense, as I'm sure Rob would agree. Better off making the best of the Sprintex IMO, keeping oil and engine cool, maybe improve the charge cooling if you can..... something I'll look into if I don't remove it.

    Robs S/C GT86 Project

4-1 tends to lend itself to higher RPM performance due to runner length. With a PD blower I would suggest that a 4-1 is preferable as you don't need a manifold to produce the low-to-mid range torque. As with any manifold it's in the design, runner length and diameter play far more a part than how many collectors it has. Whether it suits the Sprintex is another thing, we all know that the torque curve drops off at higher RPM a bit like stock. If this is not due to the exhaust then it won't benefit that much. Hopefully CGR have done some real exhaust CFM calculations to get the specs right for what Rob wants.

    Keith's Trip to Dubai 2017

Nice little write up mate. I honestly thought I'd have enough of Dubai after a couple of nights but would happily go back again. Really want to do the desert experience stuff, sounds like fun. Some of the other big parks are also due to open within the next year too, like the Disney one. They will also hopefully have the train from Dubai to Abu Dhabi completed soon, not sure if soon is 2017 or the next 5 years though. Last time I was out there I missed out on going on the "Road to Nowhere" in TBucket's (remember him?) DB9 by a day.... looks epic also. http://jalopnik.com/this-81-million-mountain-road-goes-nowhere-1693921303 My last thought on Dubai is that it's a really conflicted place, both culturally and financially. The Burj is worth a trip up as you get to see how small Dubai is and how the city ends and the desert begins.... and doesn't end. Did you see the water fountain display? Also want to do the zip wire over the fountains but it's big money again.

    Anyone Have This?

I doubt that's a genuine Tactrix OP2. There are plenty of Chinese copies around and there are risks involved. I've read before that you can only buy the real items from the Tactrix website, $170.

Stock centre pipe with aftermarket back box

Centre pipe, not the front pipe? If you mean the main part of the cat back, then no. Totally different. I know of no cat backs that are compatible as they route the pipework around the rear axle differently. If you mean FP, then it's a direct swap.

    Will300's Subaru BRZ Build

That's probably due to the exhaust manifold being properly mapped. I'd expect little gain from the intake.

You mean Subaru, seeing as it's a Legacy rear brake system

How strict is the Toyota warranty?

Nothing voids the warranty. It's not like you put lowering springs or a body kit on the car and the warranty is no longer honoured, It's only if the mod causes an issue then obviously the warranty won't cover it. Some dealers seem more likely to blame mods than others, mine have always been good to me. Look at Lordgrover's thread, engine mods and a blown engine and was still covered,

    Grover's ginger jap

M235/240 fits that bill even better I still can't decide whether to scratch the i6 itch with one and ditch the 86. Saw one with the M Performance kit on recently, looks as good as it sounds/goes. Is set up better than all 1 series coupes, bar the 1M, which I would suggest it's almost on a par with. It's not really a "half M" but more a 3 quarters one. Fits the lazy bill well too as I'm sure it'd be a better GT than the 86. The only downsides to the 86 are running costs, looks and that it's more common.
