    Breaking Bad = Addictive!

There are plenty of episodes that still stick out in my memory and I finished watching them just after they finished in the USA. The very final episode is epic....

Why do people lie about mods?

Not divulging information is different to lying, thats what I was getting across. It sounds like you're getting angry at people because they won't tell the whole world how they nodded their car, but my point is why should they? Maybe they do have something to hide, but equally they may not. To assume so is jumping to conclusions. Why let it bother you, its not like it's causing you issues.

Why do people lie about mods?

This wasn't a case of what's declared to insurers. This was about people not telling other people on the interwebz about their car....

Why do people lie about mods?

Rob, it's a bit of an odd question then? Do you declare everything you ever do to anyone? I doubt it. Why? Because you're selective about what you say to certain people. That's human nature. Why should someone have to tell other people on an internet forum what they've done to their car? What's to say it's even hiding facts? Some people like to tell all, some are more private. Are you telling me that the more private people are wrong in being so???? How incredibly discriminating of you. Most of the people I've met with really interesting cars don't have anything written about them on the internet....

    Alternative Brake Pads

Fronts are the same as a WRX I believe, although I can't remember which one. The discs certainly are so I assume the callipers and pads are likely to be. Rears are Legacy GT. Look at an obvious brand and look up the discs and see if the part numbers match, then you know you can do the same for all the others.
  6. Good idea. Which way does the extension go? Can you get ones that go either way?
  7. I mentioned this to Jay a while back. The main issue is that most of the splitters have long cables so wont hide the cable like the 90deg on the P3. The only real option is to bend the OBD point up into the dash but then it will be an issue for anyone who regularly use ECUtek on the car.

Why do people lie about mods?

I guess some people don't feel the need to brag or have a sig half a page long. However people who say they've done stuff when they haven't are idiots.

    Cosworth 'package'

Its a cosworth remap on ECUtek, exhaust is manufactured by Nameless. It's probably due to the latter that it's seen more press over there.

    Which front strut bar?

    It's a Cusco replica
  11. If it gets held, they won't release it until the charges have been paid. At least that's what happens when you deliver to personal addresses. Looks like you've escaped it.

    My Insurance situation

Its how the whole insurance industry works. Why is car insurance more on performance cars? Because they have a higher risk of claiming. Modifications prove an increased risk, period. Mods mean that a car could be more likely to claim. How many barry boys mod their corsas and then crash into other cars/trees? Is it not an increased target for theft? Would you really expect to double the power of your car and not pay extra as you haven't changed?

    My Insurance situation

Because they see it as higher risk.

    ECUTEK IDLE CONTROL NOW SORTED(honest)

Timescale on ECUtek is usually in milliseconds

I don't have an exhaust system....

    Robs S/C GT86 Project

I wonder where he got that idea. Isn't that the same setup that he has on his car though?

If you only have 1 cat that should be fine.

5th is 1:1. Its 4th in the auto.

Its the total output torque so divide total torque by the final drive - 4.1. Remember the FD is a torque multiplier.

Flux kicked Sky's quote in the arse for me.
  21. You may want to check/confirm that the E8H colour is available pre-painted seeing as these are a Subaru part and they never sold the BRZ in that colour.

Valenti Lights in stock now :)

Here's a link to some smoked/tinted tested with pics for reference. I'd certainly like to see the Valentis in comparison as they are a better unit IMO that those shown. *EDIT* - Spyder vs Valenti - both smoked.

Valenti Lights in stock now :)

The next question then is how bright are the indicators? Aftermarket LEDs don't always tend to be bright, you don't want to be reducing the output if that's the case or you run the risk of not having your indications seen. I've seen other LED light clusters on this car have dangerously low visibility of the indicators without being smoked/tinted, that's not to say these are the same though.

Valenti Lights in stock now :)

So you'd ignore the advice from MOT testers? Did your previous car have reflectors in the light housing or external?

The smoked ones don't look road legal IMO. *EDIT* Fensport posted at the same time.
