I've had that before as well. It's not that bad to clean up... the worst I've seen is one gigantic splat that covered about a third of the top of the boot
-
I'd have to look, but I think the place I got mine from is no longer in business. All you'd need to do is source a new binnacle (either from Toyota, or eBay or somewhere) and get someone to stick some alcantara over it, shouldn't cost much.
-
I've got the alcantara covered binnacle - it doesn't remove glare entirely but it matches the rest of the glare so you don't actually notice it. I've got the seat as low as possible as well
-
91dB seems more right... I think! Checked mine at Curbs and was 93.9dB - can check at TD if you want, as long as Mike is ok with it
-
I've only ever seen them measure to one side, there's no reason for 1 exhaust to be louder than the other, unless you have a dummy exhaust... so they probably don't bother and just take 1 reading. Will be at Curbs next week, not sure if you're off for Easter then but could pop by and do a comparison?
-
I'm still not convinced that's right (measuring between them) - is it possible it means they measure each exhaust (45deg angle to the side) and take the average of the 2 readings and class the car as that value?
-
Doesn't seem loud at all? That static test is slightly higher than mine though?
-
Milltek non-res cat back + TD manifold (stock 2nd cat) - 94dB static, dunno about drive by but I was on the radar at Croft last year when flat foot shifting almost right next to the check - no issues elsewhere. Check with Mike at TD but I think their resonated exhaust is quieter than a non-res Miltek so you should be fine with track days.
-
Well and truly dive bombed there!
-
Faith or Rob would be the ones to ask I think, pretty sure they both did what you're wanting...
-
The front ones aren't Toyota though, and also work on track as I/we found out when Adrian took me out in his car
-
Rule book was thrown out already last year with @Keethos running illegal body work!
-
Guessing you can't use them if they're on neither 1a or 1b list? TSS isn't worth it if you're not competing tbh
-
Mine are currently yellow and shiny again but then they're only 2 days old
-
Are they still yellow on the outside? I melted the coating with a 10 minute session at Blyton
-
Presumably with a blog you'd have a page that just lists updates (and a separate page with comments for each) so following someone's build/mods would be easier?
-
Think mine were too as I don't think it mattered that I wanted them fitting in terms of what cars were available within a week or 2.
-
01582 664 735 is also their number
-
It'd be such a shame if you somehow managed to get a black bit of rubber stuck in the middle of that 0...
-
Another one for not liking them, got annoyed with it in Keith's car driving the whole of 2 minutes to JAE
-
They're moving servers, supposed to be back up today / tomorrow I think
-
I have a feeling this may end up with differing opinions but is it worth having matching front & rear pads? With my limited understanding, I'm thinking having better pads up front will move the bias forward and make the rear a bit more loose as the car will want to sit on it's nose a bit more which would make trail braking a bit more difficult?
-
What did Twigman (Ian?) do in the end when he got his car back? Same situation really.
