  1. I'd change mine purely to get rid of the rasp, heard it for the first time under load on video the other day and it's not too bad up top, it's just the mid rev range where it it's like a switch to a different exhaust (based on what it sounds like inside anyway). Would get a Cobra for the same reasons as Keith, but not sure the noise level would be low enough!

    Clutch/Gearbox headache!

Thought the release bearing would make a noise when the clutch is down? Like mine is currently doing for a short time...

There was more than that! There was a black one with gold stock wheels in the 9am track session, a white aero was next to mine for a bit, there was the red near the pit garages and a white one further to the left. There was the red and another white up near where you parked as well? Which reminds me, @TTR is that a GT86 head unit you've got?

Know if you'll be coming yet? You still need to give me my heritage book
  9. Was going to suggest the Milltek non-res (catback anyway) because it's not droney at all unless you give it some.... but yea, it'll crack at some point!

Either is good with me, may have to take a long route to the Jolly Thresher otherwise the car won't even get warm

    Advice required

Why would the current mileage of the car affect things? or do you mean how many miles you'll be doing in it?

I pretty much went through a set of fronts in ~14k

Sprinting mods in what order, bang for £££

No worries, just drop me a PM when you get time, Urmston's only 15mins away from me. TSS wise, if you can manage a ~2 hour drive in the morning, you're probably fine for 3 of the events, but as Lauren says there's a decent social aspect to it with the night before.

Sprinting mods in what order, bang for £££

Tyres would definitely be first, can easily shave multiple seconds off with just grippier tyres. Brake pads - not sure they'll matter for sprints? Temperature shouldn't be an issue, although I did manage to get mine smoking a little bit after 2 back to back runs earlier this year. Manifold would be low on the list for sprints as like you say, the low end torque improvements shouldn't be noticeable on track. Exhaust + remap would be fine but again lower on the list as cost per time won't be as much as a decent set of tyres!

    The Exhaust Thread

Non-res shouldn't drone as Lauren says, I ran it for 6 months or so and many long journeys on the motorway, unless you're accelerating you don't hear it. Even with the TD manifold, unless I'm doing high revs I don't hear it at a constant throttle..

Off topic: Just counting down the days before Jose goes away On topic: May have to pop down and have a look at some point when it's in...
  17. I've got the yellow stuffs on the front, seem fine to me. The yellow paint (or whatever the coating is on the outside) melted after 10mins at Blyton and was running down the pads a bit but were fine after that. If you speak to enough people about the yellow stuffs someone will probably mention they had a set that crumbled so they may be one of those "you take your chances". I've only got them on because of time constraints before a sprint round, would have kept the dixcel es pads if they would have turned up...

Was a good drive out, longest time I've spent in the car since the manifold went in, and it may be from not driving it for ~10 days prior but I may need to make it a tad quieter! Cheers for organising Neal.
