+1 for taking Keith for spin
-
Sounds like I need to get my skates on in the TSS
-
I can take you out for a spin at the breakfast meet next weekend if you want Keith?
-
I didn't think lowering matters just where the fixing point is on the new coilover?
-
Is there much point to ARB preload as surely it's only in one direction?
-
Weekend would be best?
-
Stock ones are fine afaik
-
Ahh, that makes sense! Is it just the US ones that have red indicators?
-
I assumed he meant swapping the lights but my question was why swap the lights?
-
Cheers Rob!
-
Why would you need to swap them for an MOT?
-
I'd keep the same discs on then unless you want to upgrade...
-
Some people will say you should change discs if you're changing to different pads (ie not replacing with the same pad) as you'll end up with 2 different pad materials on the disc which can't be the ideal situation. When I went from dixcel to yellow stuff I didn't change discs and they're perfectly fine although I wasn't convinced by them at Woodbridge but that could have been because they were new (or down to the above...) How worn are the discs? If you're likely to replace them before the pads are done, I'd replace them now.

Steve originally had 8/9 but deemed them too stiff so dropped down to 6/7 that are on now.

Grip surprises me at times as well Peaked at 1.18 lateral G according to the EDFC on Saturday.
-
6/7 monosports are pretty firm as it is, not sure I'd go stiffer! @Keethos should have mentioned you were looking as you could have had a passenger ride on Saturday!

If he can handle the continued disappointment of having a ginger car, he can manage anything

Think Faith had to wait 2 weeks or something so having to wait isn't unheard of but 4 weeks is a bit long!

So effectively tyre heats up, becomes soft(ish) and as the tread block comes down it gets pushed back? Makes sense I guess, and thinking about it, the outer edge would have less contact with the camber so wouldn't wear down as quickly?
-
Last week I noticed the tread blocks on the outsides of my front tyres both raised leading edges - the raised edges are consistent all the way around and on both tyres. Not a clue how long they've been like that, but has anyone got any ideas on what would cause that sort of wear? Put me down as a maybe, depends when money would be needed

Are you meaning the outer edge of the actual tyre? I'm aware that's perfectly normal. I'm talking about the tread block across the tyre (the red line on http://i.imgur.com/CbPZWSu.png) - my old primacys which have done at least twice the track miles haven't got raised edges like this.
