I think Lauren wants you to use "little" instead of "lil"

If this was May time...

You're only 86 once... born in '86 on the other hand...

There's no mention of it in Section G There are no mods allowed for the bottom class which is why Alec puts the original filter back in. To be more on topic, if Rob says Abbey have them, I'd PM Mark on here seeing as their site is still down.
-
Checked eBay? Probably a seller on there. BTW, you'll need the original panel filter for use in the TSS if you want to be in the stock class

Yea it's the lip that's attached to the bonnet. Had a look this morning, there is a cut out on the plastic on the drivers side which I guess the lip is there to cover up.
-
Can someone do me a quick favour and take a look at the black plastic that's at the bottom of the windscreen where it meets the bonnet. From the drivers side wing mirror, you can't see into the bonnet but on the passenger side you can so not sure if a piece is missing. Pic of mine is below - the plastic bits that are in the pic all have a corresponding bit on the drivers side but the drivers side has an extra piece which blocks the view into the bonnet.

I've not opened my bonnet yet but going off http://s1.cdn.autoevolution.com/images/news/toyota-gt-86-easy-operating-hood-dampers-will-excite-your-engineering-side-79299_3.jpg (RHD) and http://www.stri-racing.com/media/catalog/product/cache/5/image/4c0dcc3e9e6925f5cad22dea1dc7a751/2/0/2012_frs_ehd_ins_logo_11.jpg (LHD) the bit that I thought was missing is attached to the bonnet and always on the drivers side. Makes it a bit odd seeing as they obviously make both sides...
-
How have I not noticed this before then? :/ And why is it different to the drivers side?!
-
Eventually decided on the Mobius. Version 3 has a battery life of 2 hours apparently which is more than enough so may not bother with my plan of taking it apart and fixing it behind the rear view mirror as it should be fine running off the battery.

As I'll be doing the TSS this year, I figured it'd be nice to record some footage for once! Can anyone recommend any cameras? Not really got a budget in mind, just as long as it's not overly expensive Battery time isn't a major factor as long as it can be plugged in and it doesn't need to be a stealthy camera as it's unlikely I'll leave it in all the time.

Good call on the phone idea... is that pole stuck to the back of the seats? Tried my phone wedged under the passenger head rest and it's rather unstable...
-
Congrats Keith!

Cheers guys. Think the RoadHawk is a bit expensive for what I'll need it for, as is a Go Pro. The Transcend looks decent as does the Mobius. May get a Mobius seeing as you can apparently get an external lens for it which I could easily stick to the back of the rear view mirror!

Keith: I usually do check, I'm trying to be less reliant on sat nav and try not to use it if it's a simple journey. I just assumed that seeing as it knew exactly where the place was, it'd attempt to get me there Might try out waze next time...

Awesome place and the single burger was awesome but I think a double would have been too much! My car now looks like it's trying to swap colours, the white is covered in black dirt and the wheels / black above the exhausts is covered in what I assume is salt off the roads Edit: Forgot to mention, Google Maps navigation is absolutely useless at finding the place. Just took me to a B road about a mile away and claimed I arrived despite having the pin exactly where we parked!

Shall we expect hangovers tomorrow then?

How long would you expect to have to wait for spares?
Mike replied to Twigman's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
That's the point, getting someone higher up to forward an email isn't that difficult. A phone call would work a lot better but it's a lot harder to get a phone number for someone high up. -

A quick google says Scott / Richard are PR people so probably not much help. Apparently there is a Steve Settle who is the director of customer services and based on other TGB email address, his email may be steve.settle@tgb.toyota.co.uk - worth a wild stab in the dark? -

Who are you contacting at customer relations? Just the general enquiry people? I would try finding the details of someone higher up who would be annoyed at having to deal with a customer. -
The police speed... I've seen them!

Nowadays, for the parts I'm guessing you're talking about, I wouldn't expect them to have stock as it's not something that a large percentage of customers will change. The more likely the part is to be changed in the natural life of a car, I would expect them to be more readily available... -
Definitely... had the laziest of slides round one of those small roundabouts this morning without even accelerating

Random comments and question after 2 months of ownership

I'll see if I can dig up my dyno result but comparing mine and Alec's results, there is more fuel at the top end and power drops off quicker on mine.
