My first drive wasn't that great... had my dad navigating and wouldn't tell me in advance which exit for any of the roundabouts so ended up being in the wrong lane for most of them which in traffic in a new car was not fun!

No quick turn arounds for me, both involved motorways! Lauren: were you in the Flixton area today? My mum said she saw "a car like mine" but with a red stripe + red wheels on go past the house this afternoon.

Rob: My dad had a car for 3 years, ended up with something like 10-15 insurance claims on it in that time after having no claims for ~45 years. The majority of them were with it parked up, including a certain incident involving me and a golf ball which made him sell it. Luckily his insurance don't count them as he's been with them for most of that 45 years!

I thought he meant the auto lights switching on and off? I've found them to be pretty sensitive to come on, then refuse to switch off automatically unless it gets a lot brighter yet if you turn them off and put back on auto they won't come back on

Being the cynical person I am, if someone hits you, I would expect their insurance to try and wiggle out of paying you because of the damage already on it - they would probably claim it wasn't the result of the accident or that the damage can't be proved especially if they hit the passenger side. To be cautionary, I would have photos of your car all around now and if someone does hit you, you can point out the before / after accident shots.

Just read the story about it, and yea it's stupid. I have no issue with shops offering Halal as an option just like vegetarian is an option but there is no point removing other options. I'm pretty certain Muslim's can eat food from somewhere that isn't Halal as long as they avoid the meat so there is no real reason to remove pork based meats!

Are the halal ones definitely not serving bacon? I thought the halal subways were like the vegetarian option in that it's halal where possible but non-halal options still exist? If the subways are removing non-halal options then I agree it's stupid, it'd be like having a vegetarian only subway! As for Muslim bank accounts, I assume they're also forfeiting interest as they're not (by their law) allowed to profit from lending money which they're effectively doing. Does seem odd that non-Muslims can open one though...
