BRZ Front Fender Side Fin Group Buy from Japex

Happy days! Now you've got a couple of days to try out fitting it to yours! -
Lauren - my current plan is junction 16 of m6 with mark. If you / Rich / Alec are all going we can always meet up somewhere a bit more north first?

You know it makes sense Rob! -
That's pretty much my quote with the stock car

*looks at the end of Rob's sig* but £40 for general mods seems fine - sure some insurer's admin charge is close to that

Can't help with your situation but seeing as your with Admiral, did you get insured pre-remap? If so, how much did getting the car remapped change the insurance by? I've seen various reports on other sites where Admiral have refused some people, some were a small charge and some unlucky person got their insurance cancelled on the spot for just asking!

Snetterton Trackday 25th Jan 2014

I like our synchronised overtakes at ~10:50... followed by my silly overtake in to the left hander! As for my rattle, it's not at any revs in particular but I *think* it's just the common issue with the boot / "parcel shelf" making a noise so nothing to worry about (I hope)- 37 replies

Well that sucks! I think I've developed a rattle at the back but can't be certain if it's new or just the foam stuff in the spare wheel well that I've not heard for ages...- 37 replies

Me and Faith had a look at the track day at the weekend, the top 3 clips should be fine, only 1 of the bottom row was visible from the engine bay so the 2 could be tricky... didn't even see those! -

Glad I saw that BMW almost lose it on the lap before, he clearly was being an idiot trying to floor it out of corners far too early. Think I was doing below 30 before getting to the corner he span at otherwise it might have been different!- 37 replies

Was good to meet everyone again (and to meet a new person in Ian!) - was a great day! As always I forgot photos Did anyone get to drive through that lovely little mini-storm? I went to shell garage east of the track, set off for home and about 5 mins after going back past the track, it all went dark, thunder/lightning, heavy rain, strong gusty winds that started blowing the car about at 70mph which was fantastic fun- 37 replies

1. Keethos - Pegasus White/ Satin White Pearl/ Whiteout (37J) 2. Special K - Sonic Blue (EH8) 3. GT86Jay - Red (C7P) 4. Mike - Pegasus White/ Satin White Pearl/ Whiteout (37J) I'm fine with collecting at a future meet depending on timescales etc if you end up getting them delivered to yourself to save on postage! -
And the best non-reaction reaction!

First instance it was a very slight bend but the car still followed the bend - was as though the rears had both let go equally so sounds right that it didn't interfere as there was no real issue. Second instance, I barely moved off which is why I'm not sure if I was just stalling or just overly sensitive (or an issue that it didn't come on earlier)
-
Pulled away from a set of lights this morning (damp / 10c) and the rears lost traction which is normal at times for the road I was on, stability control light didn't come on which I was fine with. However, when I next stopped in traffic and then set off again, the stability control instantly came on as I tried to set off which made the car feel like it stalled but didn't - this has happened twice now. Is this something normal (is it the case I almost stalled but didn't?) or something I should get looked at? (This is with VSC Sport on btw)

Temperatures might be.. level of water less so

For £500 I think I need to be more careful reversing out in the mornings, it's a pretty tight reverse and have come millimetres away from scraping the passenger's mirror. If you can only see where the crack is because you know about it, I would definitely leave it, in a few months you'll probably forget it exists at all!

I'm fine with sticking with standard tyres... we could always have 2 lap boards - standard and standard with whatever tyres (probably race soft for everyone). For what it's worth, I'm convinced a sub 8 minute time is possible with race soft tyres.
-
Just done an 8:06.779 with the FRS courtesy car + racing soft tyres which was a chunk quicker than I managed with the GT86

Got my copy already... need to get a PS3 at work

Just to add to my earlier post, on the Saturday morning my mum's car was frozen up and so was mine on the body work but the windows (with G1 / G5 on) were 95% water and the small patches of ice just slid off so definitely helps!
