Ha ha that sounds awesome. So pleased for you it's now at the stage of being fired up.

Looks great, congratulations ๐

Hi Kellya. It can be quite fiddly to unlock with the key. It sometimes takes a bit of back and forth to unlock it. Other times it clicks open straight away. Just have to keep at it. Good luck and if you haven't already tried, do you have a second key fob? Sorry if that's obvious but easy to forget when an alarm is going off at silly o clock and your trying not to wake the neighbours.

Ha ha looks like great fun. Certainly lots of opportunities to 'test out' the handling right now ๐

I've registered for the classic, put the mk1 golf forward though rather than the 86 (That will be a classic one day ๐).

Not sure if I have a different key but the hole feels very plastic'y (if that's a word) on my one. Hopefully it wont go flat again ๐ค

Hi Vad. I had the same thing. I was worried about breaking the key but in the end it was a firm turn to the left which did it. I can see why some use pliers, it's not easy to grip the key, and all the time hoping it doesn't snap in the lock ๐คจ

Very very nice!

Hi Mike, yes it's the facelift one, a 2018 reg. I should have paid more attention when ordering. Oh well, hopefully someone on here can benefit and get a new year bargain.

Hi, I've got a K&N filter for sale. Part number 33-2300. I managed to select the one for automatic transmission rather than manual (Very slightly different sizes). Stupid mistake. Anyway, I've ordered the correct manual version of the filter so have the version for an automatic for sale. Will post in original box. I paid ยฃ51 for this and it's done less than 1k miles in the car so it's nearly brand new. Asking for ยฃ25 (inc postage in the UK). Thanks

Yep it does fit but the dimensions are slightly different including the thickness from what I can see on the k&n website. It will also annoy me knowing it's not quite right so just going to swap it over ๐

OZ Alleggerita's get my vote. Mostly just for the look but I also have had good experience with running OZ's in the past on other cars. Let us know what you go for

Hi scbrc Did you make any progress? If it worked I would be interested to know what you did as I would rather not have the tpms light on the dash with aftermarket wheels if it can be helped. Cheers

Let us know how you get on please George. I'm running the same set up as Gavin_t and was happy enough with it until I moved. The roads round me now are terrible and I find the car crashes around too much over potholes and speed humps for my liking being just on lowering springs. From what is described above the Tein's sound like a better set up.

Morning all. My Fensport camera was the same. Really no good for general use i found as I often reverse into a tight garage. I took it all apart and modified the bit the 'ball' camera sits in. Now it actually points backwards. Had to be quite brave cutting away the metal bracket but has seemed to work. Just a light bit of the bracket right st the top of the screen. Overall, I would have preferred sensors I think. Shame Toyota want near 500 quid to retro fit them!

That often works Samwise and I also use Autoglym Tar remover. Gets to job done once big clumps are removed.
