    2012 GT86 Orange

£11,500, Located in Glasgow, Scotland Selling my beloved 86, I am the second owner. 2012, 57k miles. Manual, orange, heated seats, bluetooth, fog lights, cruise control. FSH, vast majority toyota, last stamp missing but receipt from toyota in the pics for this year. MOT to may '25. This car has a few aftermarket parts: Tuning Developments Super Silent exhaust with remap Mishimoto induction kit with K&N filter Rota Wheels OEM size with Yokohama Advan Sport Tires Kenwood multimedia system with bluetooth and a SNES connected Aftermarket ducktail spoiler Vland sequential tail lights OEM Parts that I can either include for free or swap back onto the car: Rear spoiler Stock media unit (this will work with the rear parking sensors, kenwood unit will not) Original wheels with winter tires (lots of tread left). The 4 of these can fit across the back seat if you want to take them. Reason for sale is I WFH and have now got a motorbike, so this car just doesn't get used as it should. I'm in the market for an ND MX-5 for sunny weekends away to replace this so if you have one of those I'm open to swaps/exchanges. The exhaust on this is a really good volume. I had a HKS one originally and it was way too loud even though I bought the 'quiet' version. I have lots more photos, particularly close ups of a few scratches and the wheels etc please feel free to message for more.

    HKS Hi-Power Single Exit Exhaust V2 T

Sorry Man, its way too big for me to try and arrange courier. Like I said in the post it's in cumbria, or glasgow. If you're down south I would maybe consider meeting some of the way down, but nothing more than say an hour from Cockermouth.

    HKS Hi-Power Single Exit Exhaust V2 T

    Price drop to £350
  9. Hello Friends, I am selling my HKS Hi-Power Single Exit Exhaust V2. I am looking for £300, collection only from Cockermouth in Cumbria. I realise this is the arse end of nowhere but it is a big item so I really do not want to have to organise shipping. If it's up here a long time then I will reconsider. I also live in Glasgow so can do drop off near there/central belt if that helps you. Purchased from Part Box originally here You can check how it sounds here This exhaust was on my car for 1 year, so it has rusted at the welds only, as stainless does. I drive my car through the winter, so would not look at this for your show car lol. In the pics I have given it a light wash, so the marks you see are not mud or dirt. Whether they come away with a heavier scrub I don't know. I'm not going to find out anytime soon because it is COLD and my hands were in pain even to get these pictures. Reason for selling: This exhaust is unreasonably LOUD. It was the first time I had ever swapped an exhaust on a car and I thought going for the version with the 'Silent' muffler might have been a bit underwhelming but thank the lord I did. I have the cat delete in the header, so I don't know how it is swapped on to a stock header but I imagine it is quieter. It looks very cool in my opinion, I prefer the single exit for more lightweight and racecar sense of purpose but I no longer care about that. I just don't want to be antisocial. The anxiety of driving through a quiet town with this is huge. I ended up swapping for the super resonated set up from tuning developments which sounds perfect, exactly what I wanted. Any more questions or photos feel free to ask If you want me to scrub it better to see if it looks better in the current weather it's an extra £100. Thank you, Rory x

I'd just be careful if you're looking for minimal rasp. The above video does a good job of not making it sound raspy. I had the quiet version of this cat back and retained a CAT and it was raspy as fuck. But yes there are quite a few twin exit options from HKS.

The UEL would be the same volume but with the famous off-beat wrx noise

this is from TD's you tube page, with a back to back comparison with the stock exhaust, it's exactly the same as my current setup: When I first listened to that I thought it was way to quiet and went for the HKS after listening to this: which I thought sounded great but in person and in reality it's way too annoying for my tastes.

I can guarantee that will still sound louder than stock. According to TD, the stock cat back with catless header is not much louder than full stock. The cat back on the stock system reduces the volume by a lot. The super resonated cat back is much louder than stock on my car with no rasp, so it may be ideal for you. If you're running without the secondary cat it should be louder than mine still, even if it's 'double resonated'. As matrixprotein says, if you have the opportunity to hear some in the flesh that is ideal. That mistake cost me a lot of money on the HKS single exit haha.

Hello LxrdVbz, I'm going to make a post about this separately at some point but I think it's pretty hard to avoid rasp on this car with free flowing systems. *It might be different for a turbo car though, my car is NA* I swapped the headers for decat Tuning Developments EL and then installed a resonated single exit HKS cat-back WITH a silencer section. So: - Retaining one CAT - supposedly the quieter cat back option I thought it might actually be too quiet but no, it was supper loud. Around 3k rpm rasped like fuck. At low revs it was nice, if a bit boomy (not good for motorways), and at high revs it screamed (very nice). But in the middle it was horrible, and for my own tastes too loud across the board. Speaking to Mike at TD @Mike@TD.co.uk big part of the problem was single exit and small silencer section. They offer a resonated dual exit and a super resonated dual exit. These have a huge silencer section at the back similar to OEM, and a large resonator in the centre pipe. According to mike, the resonated one still rasps a bit in the mid range. The super resonated one is the only one that doesn't rasp with a catless header. I've gone super resonated and it's great for me but probably waaayyy too quiet for what you are describing. In short I'm not sure it's going to be easy getting a raspless noise as well as loud volume. Good luck though, I'll be following to see what others say. I would advise against using videos as a guide for noise too as I thought the HKS sounded amazing on you tube and the TD zorst too quiet.
