    Bike Rack - GT86

Likewise, Seasucker works well for me, quick and easy to fit and remove ( bear in mind the latter does mean you can't leave it parked up unsupervised ), also it takes a bit of building up confidence in the fact that your pride and joy is held on with a few suckers but is not going to fly off the roof at every opportunity .
  2. Previously had both an L200 Barbarian and a Nissan Navara , both were great when I had 3 sons at home who were into surfing and cycling , they are also surprisingly practical on a day to day basis, to drive they were pretty similar and surprisingly refined and relaxing for long drives, even non stop between Newquay and Southern Scotland with 5 on board, full camping gear plus surfboards. On the downsides, the handling on B roads could best be described as "interesting" if you drive enthusiastically, and as you already know they are damn big, making some tighter multi-story carparks a no go area, On balance, the Barbarian handled a bit better and was less tail happy but the Nissan was better finished and IMHO a better looking and more refined motor (both were comparable top spec models) I had no issues with either so sorry can't offer advice on anything to look out for, although I would make sure you get parking sensors or at the very least a reversing camera Steve

    Delivery Times / Dealer Discounts

Delivery on factory orders seems pretty slow I'm currently awaiting delivery on a Blue Edition with the Performance Pack , order placed early November, current ETA 5th April , so you could be looking around 5 months (but I guess could just have been bad timing) , I didn't have a lot of luck on discounts including via carwow etc , some reasonable discounts on list for a cash sale or via own finance, but most of the dealer finance offered was expensive and hiked the overall price again. As I won't be doing much on the mods front, the most cost-effective option for me (by a good margin) was leasing it through my business,

Is the GT86 going to be safe for my girlfriend?

I recently spent a lot of time looking into racks for GT86 with no luck and ended up with a Seasucker , not tried on GT86 or on a long drive yet, but seems rock solid and has the advantages it fits in seconds and I can swap it between cars ( anyone looking for a now redundant Golf R rack ?) , loads of reviews in the cycling forums , including this one for the two bike version
