I have a pair of 3mm driftworks hubcentric spacers that i no longer need. They were only fitted to the car for around 50miles so are in excellent condition. They just need a clean. Looking for £12.50 posted or £10 if collected.

Toyota ordered the wrong parts so I dont require them. They were on back order and took 2 months to arrive and fit somewhere behind the front bumper by the headlights (they were suppose to be the mounting brackets for the corners of the front bumper to stop the edges sagging) Looking for £12.50 for the both or £10 if collected.

Faith,is there a knack to refitting the screw holding the binnacle in?? I have retrimmed mine but I cant get the bloody screw back to secure it in place.

Trouble is when you have a frt skirt that adds 20mm to the bottom of the frt bumper, 15mm suddenly turns into a 35mm drop. Unfortunatley we cant all afford coilovers so springs are the easiest option especially if it only just to reduce the wheel gap.

Can i ask were you got the 15mm springs from please as i can only find 25mm drop ones??

Track day gone wrong...front end parts wanted
JohnM replied to LOWCAR's topic in Wanted GT86 / BRZ Cars and Parts
That is some major damage. Looks like an insurance job and a potential write off due to both airbags being deployed and significant damage to the front suspension, not to mention the potential damage to the engine. This should be checked over by a qualified bodyshop before being attempted to be repaired. -
I tried this route and ended up changing them to a set of component speakers which include the tweeters rather than a stand alone set of 6.5" as it sounded worse than stock. If you have fitted an aftermarket stereo you could splice into the rear speaker wires directly from the back of the stereo and run the wiring through the dash to power the 3.5" in the dash if you so wish but be aware if the sound is sounding high now it will only increase by fitting the dash speakers or you could get rid of the tweeters entirely and just fit the 3.5". You could even fit a 4" speaker in the dash if you are losing the tweeters. But doing this will change the fader balance from the head unit. Mine were high and it took longer to tweek the settings on the amplifer than it took to install the speakers. Concentrate of improving the sound quality rather than making it loud. Your ears will thank you later especially in a car as small as ours.

The harness is only really for the tweeters and 6.5" in the door. I did end up adding some 3.5" speakers in the dash though. I have wired them directly though the dash, down the centre console to an amp in the boot. It does make a huge difference having those speakers fitted in the dashboard though. The total install has been done using the stock stereo. The 6.5 speakers and tweeters are run off the stereo and the rest of the speakers (3.5 in the dash and 4" in the rears) and a 10" sub is run through a 4 channel amplifier wired off the stock stereo using a line out converter.

I have a question regards to servicing on my 2013 GT86. Car has got 71,000 miles and has full service history including the big one at 60,000. It was last serviced in January at the same time as the MOT , both completed by Toyota. I will only be doing 3,000/4,000 miles per year and that is really an over estimate so it will be very low mileage compared to the previous owner. Also the car will never be tracked. The Toyota warranty has expired and the used car warranty will run out in January so with all the above in mind I am thinking that I can have the car serviced every 2 years rather than every 12 months. Can anybody think of any issues that this may cause or any recommendations regards to switching to a 2 year servicing schedule positive or negative. As always all opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the advice. Luckily I have a garage i can trust and have been using them for the last 4 years so I dont mind paying to have the oil and filter changed. The plan is the next service in January will be a full one completed at the same time as the MOT (I am not overly confident that this was completed when I collected the car from Toyota in January) then the following year just the oil & filter change along with the diff oil change and MOT in 2021 and then repeat the cycle.

Highly recommend Auto finesse Illusion for the summer but it isnt cheap and will need to be reapplied every couple of months. Very easy to apply and the finish afterwards is amazing. Dodo juice supernatural is also very good especially if you want the metallic flake to show through. It should also last around 4/6 months between coats even with the crappy British weather.

I have a set of rear louvers in gloss black. They were purchased from another member and are in excellent condition. They have only been on the car for a couple of weeks so will require some 3m tape to install. Looking for £18 including shipping.

Looking at the HTauto one they are different at the front especially in the middle section of the bumper. It looks more fitted and shaped to the OEM bumper than the maxton design one. -
