Good evening folks, Been looking everywhere for Redstuff pads for the gt86 as they are more street suitable and low brake dust (i have white wheels). But cannot for the life of me find any, every site just sells standard/green/yellow/orange. Anyone know a vendor that does sell them? or are the imported from US? Cheers!
-
Alright cheers mate, ill have a shop around for something else
-
What would you recommend instead? it was mainly the low brake dust but decent spec that had me interested. Alot of the higher tier options seem to be track focused which isn't really needed for me
-
Hey everyone, posted before asking if anyone had pictures. One fine fellow Knightryder mentioned the lights on amazon are offbrand Spec-D which are UK compatible (as i think only spec-D can be imported from US?) Anyway, if anyone wanted to know if they are any good/how they look. Just fitted mine and here are the results!

Hey peeps, ive just tried to fit this headunit, was all connected and seemed to be working. was getting an occasional beep every 30 seconds or so and when i turned car off the stereo was making a very worrying noise. Can anyone confirm if this cable im holding is meant to connect to something, it has 2 brown and a black wire so im assuming its a ground for steering wheel controls or something? it had 3 prongs inside and doesnt fit over anything, and im left with 2 small cables (1 being oem gps and the other one with black wire im not sure about)

Hey everyone, not seen pictures posted of these lights so thought i'd throw them up incase anyone comes across this and wanted to see before purchase. What do people think about the daytime running lights? They are quite bright, do you think its better if i re-wire them to be brake lights instead? There are only 3, Daytime running/Fog (Middle V)/Reverse. Cannot split them like Valenti to have 4th option and split the 2 parts of the V

Hello all, Some of you have all ready helped me with a few posts, so thought i'd introduce my new car! Im Ryan from the Measham area. Just picked up my car about 1 1/2 months ago- 35k miles on the clock, 14 plate, in White. A bit of a step up in looks and step down in speed from its older sister, my modded Starlet GT turbo. Which i'm now trying to sell to fund the TD NA package/extra bits. So far i've just blacked out the badges and bought some JR3 white 18x9 alloys with 245/35 PS4 which i've just had fitted yesterday! Ill add some pictures if anyone is interested in fitment as i struggled to find this setup with stock suspension. No rubbing, no scrapping. Hopefully once i've finished a few more bits ill start seeing some of you peeps at some events/shows !

Some pictures of the rear JR3 18x9 245/35/r18 - Stock suspension I've just ordered the Spec-D tail lights- smoked and girlfriend is buying me the valenti smoked V light for my birthday Then HT-auto Lip kit next month, then hopefully if the Starlet is old its straight to TD for the NA package

Good evening all, Browsing alternatives to the Valenti tail lights which don't require rewiring from the US. Came across these on amazon, and they seem to fit what i'm looking for. Keeping the circle lights with a bit of flare. Has anyone seen these in person, have pictures that are not stock photos or even own these lights? Really want to see what they're like on a car before i take the plunge and try them out. https://www.amazon.co.uk/CarLab-Black-Smoke-Light-2012-2016/dp/B074366Z28/ref=sr_1_17?keywords=gt86+lights&qid=1556919019&quartzVehicle=111-1453&replacementKeywords=lights&s=gateway&sr=8-17

Thanks for the link Iain, Looking for something that isn't Valenti and keeps the circle light. I might just buy these ones from Carlab and see how they look and post results in case anyone else is interested

Hey peeps, sorry for asking a question thats been thrown around 1000 times and countless threads about it, but I've not seen much about this specific size. I've ordered 18x9 ET40 wheels, running stock suspension for the next few months. I've seen 2 members of the forum run these size and run 235/40 , which errors the speedo. Is it ok to run 245/35? or would these most likely cause strut rub for now with Et40? The car is just daily driven, not for track use or hard drifting. Any suggestions on which size PS4's to buy? Thank you for any help

Hello everyone, I'm ordering some custom offset wheels and it recommends that "Custom JR Wheel require slim style internal drive wheel nuts/bolts" They seem to have a m12x1.25 in both a long and short style. Can anyone help me with which ones i need? i am not running spacers and my searches seem to show that both styles are used. https://www.driftworks.com/internaldriveboltchrome.html

Sorry im new to this, just realised our cars use lug nuts and not bolts. This warning message before buying the wheels just confused me thinking our standard fittings would not fit. Do you think since it states it has to be slim style internal wheel nuts, that these are the ones? https://www.driftworks.com/internal-drive-wheel-nuts-m12-black-and-silver.html

Hey peeps, going a little crazy here trying to work this out. As far as im aware, all cars past 2014 have TPMS on as standard for MOT, and all gt86's come with them too. Now i bought this 2014 plate gt86 last month, checking through the user manual and there is no mention anywhere about them. Checked on the online manual for the same year and page 316 has info about TPMS, but that section is just not there in my one. I looked on the panel under the steering wheel where the TPMS reset button is, nothing there just a blank cap where a button should be. I asked one of the tyre fitters who comes to my work if he can tell if my car has them, he mentioned that it doesn't as normally he can tell just from feeling the valve. Also when i start the car and all the lights come on the dashboard for a second, there is no tyre pressure light at all and i've looked up pictures on where it should appear. Checked all previous MOT's for the car, never failed due to lack of TPMS or any mention of them. Am i going crazy and missing something? looking at buying aftermarket wheels and not sure if i need to buy some.

Thank you everyone for the help Im just going to count myself lucky! On a new topic, has anyone ordered wheels through wheeldude.com or use any UK company that can source wheels? Got my heart set on the 18x9.5 deep red grids ET38 but the uk only stock ET23's

Hello all, Sorry if this has been talked about over and over, abit new here and recently got my gt86. I'm looking at aftermarket wheels/tyres and pretty much got the wheels i want being 18x9.5 38ET. Fitment industries video on wheels says these are the max with 245/35 tyres that will fit on stock suspension. But looking at the Willitfit website and the gt86 specific fitment link, it will hit the strut and needs 5mm extra to clear. I know various people have said they fit, other saying they need coilovers to fit. Is there any Yes/No answer someone can give me if they've done the same fitment? The 2nd part of the question is are all popular coilovers thinner than stock? so if i need some coilovers to fit the wheels i want, is it ok to go with Tien flex Z or Bc racing. Cannot seem to find any pictures of the 2 side by side. thank you for help!
