Oh yeah - I do that every time I get in the car too.....it still says 'VSC Sport' on the dash though as well as TRC Off And I have to really want it to unstick for it to unstick.....god knows what all these folk who have 'moments' do. Do they just ram their right foot into the firewall? I admit I do treat the throttle gently......coming from bikes it's natural - a handful of right hand will have you in slide, grip, tossed over the high side territory in no time.

Is there a catback zorst that looks like standard from the outside? Which resonated catback system looks closest to OEM? I just want a bit more noise but want it to look 'standard'.

I suspect my many years riding my Fireblade has taught me throttle sensitivity and it just translates to the smooth way i drive a car
-
Is that doing the mystery pedal dance? I've never committed that to memory.

I have been mildly disappointed at the LACK of tail happiness of the 86. Perhaps I need to get an old 911? My Triumph Spitfire, with its 80 odd bhp and dodgy tranverse leaf spring rear suspension was far more tail happy. I find you really have to be trying to break traction to actually get the back out. I drive in 'VSC Sport' mode all the time and even then I have to really try to get the back out (even when I had the Primacy HPs on). And I don't hang around. I am bemused by the many posts I see from people 'complaining' that they're caught unawares by the back end suddenly snapping out? How people? How?

I remember in my biking days the Akrapovic bike systems were always twice the price of kit like Yoshimura......Akrapovic do tend to use exotic materials though, like titanium

I am probably going to replace my windscreen shortly. What do windscreen replacement people do about the DAB aerial? Do they peel it and 'restick' it ? How?

Where does one look to identify which air-con gas your car has?
-
My car is 5 1/2 years old and I only noticed it about a year ago......we're on the same schedule, it seems.
-
Mine does it too. It almost sounds like the car is breathing.

Would they have not fitted a sticker as surely that will be a part on the list? The sticker looks 'new'.
-
That's good to know - thanks
-
I've just realised though...my bonnet was replaced in an insurance thing and I'm wondering if the insurance repairer will have replaced the correct sticker. The sticker looks pretty new. My car is March 14

So it says R-134a - that's the cheaper gas isn't it?

In March some old codger in a Skoda decided to park his car in my front garden. To get there he drove through my Mazda6, writing it off, and my front garden wall. Admittedly my front garden wall was only 3 or 4 courses of bricks but getting it replaced is proving a hellish task. A few days after the incident I had a brickie come around and quote. This quote was sent off to the old codger's insurance company, who paid out, no quibbles. So I then tried to get in touch with the brickie to get the job done. He never answered his phone, nor emails, nor returned voice mail messages, not even to tell me he didn't want/need the job. It's like he disappeared off the face of the earth. So I get in touch with another tradesman, recommended by a friend. A week or so after getting in touch he comes round to estimate the job and is a mere £25 dearer than the original brickie, so i ask him when he can do it and he tells me that he can do it when he's done with the job he's doing at the moment. That was back in June, I think. Anyway I chase him up a few times - he's always busy - his last message 13th August was that he'd be in touch. So I mentioned this to the bloke who came to fix my boiler. I've known this chap for many years and he's never let me down. He told me him and his brickie mate would do it - 'we've got a few days at the end of September'. - well it seems they've got a kitchen to fit instead. What is it with fucking tradesmen? Why are they happy to quote but never follow through with actually doing the job they quote for? 7 months now I've been waiting to get my pile of rubble rebuilt. How the fuck do I get my wall rebuilt?

Stuck an ad on ratedpeople.com and have 2 chaps coming round to quote. Let's see if either of these get beyond the quote stage and how competitive they might be.

Have any of you done a rear seat delete and want to dispose of the rear seat back? If you could donate yours to me so I can experiment in modifying it into a split fold, I'd appreciate it.

Anyone got a pit in their garage I can come and park over for a couple of hours this weekend 28/29 September? I'd like to adjust my exhaust hanging and spray ACF50 on the underside. You'd need to be not more than an hour away from Dunstable.

I'll take that as a 'No' then

That's what I said in my deleted post. However, having looked at the Xtron spec it seems the speakers ARE connected on an RCA breakout cable. There is a post on the Xtron forums about someone having trouble getting one of the pair of speakers to work. Perhaps that's the place to ask? http://bbs.xtrons.com/index.php?sid=accab9ab3107a20a851469a402dc57c2

I knew that as soon as I bought them summer would return and how right I was. The winters will sit on the pallet in the warehouse for a few weeks yet, I suspect. I do 90% of my driving in the morning before 10am and in the evening after 7pm - when the temp drops to 8C or so at these times of day is when I'll swap. Expecting to have to do that early to mid November.

As far as I know it was first registered with the plate I have on it. I bought the plate before the car even arrived in UK and gave all the paperwork to the dealer before delivery. And seeing as how my plate is a 14 plate and I picked up the car on 1st march it can't have had a plate before mine or I wouldn't have been allowed to fit my plate.
