Right so about time I closed off stage one of my mods, finally got round to taking some pictures of it after a clean tonight. Shame the sun wasn't properly out to get the true colour of the wheels. Stage two will hopefully kick off soon, Remap by Fensport asap and a big brake kit; AP initially although at the moment I am getting more and more tempted by the Subaru Impreza Brembo conversion

-
Nice one, cheers Rob, count me in then

I should be able to make it down for this Any chance of staying/camping after? I like a drink with a BBQ

The one weekend I'm back in Yorkshire for Yorkshire modified show and 8/6 day is going to be on my doorstep... I feel ashamed
-
Obscure wheels ftw not boy racer at all When I next get to Sheffield I'll happily make a detour to Mansfield so you can try the BC's in mine, the teins will be another step up I reckon

Meets and sprints are my top priority after the Prescott event and it's all set up properly was planning croft TSS as the first but hopefully the one before Glad everyone enjoyed it, Rob couldn't believe it, normally when we have visitors they are the least interested people in the world -
Purple wheels should go well with a white car I have until next week anyway before I find out Coilover wise I can't recommend the BC's enough, for me at least, they are perfect, yet to take it on track though. Welcome to the drivers club
-
Cheers Mark, how you finding the BC's on yours? I have the dampers on fairly soft atm and loving it, can't wait to get it on the track and turn them up a fair whack

Brill report lauren, sorry I could only make it out for a little bit of it, but unfortunately I had a day job to do there as well managed to speak to a few though, mine and bens 86's looked lonely after yours had all gone... I'll give rob a kick to get the photos sorted on Tuesday -
Cheers, yeah it is very low, may have to be raised a little bit though so the new wheels will clear without rubbing, need to wait and see about that

Been back and collected the car tonight, without the wheels though, the centre bore needs machining to accomodate the larger impreza diameter over the celica one, no issues though jsut the engineer has decided to become ill, how thoughtful Hopefully I will have them before Friday and the meet at TMUK, but probably not unfortunately Settling into its new home for the weekend on Friday (forgot I had these) Had to put it on blocks just to get the lift under BC's vs Standard Looks so sad with no wheels Shiney Shiney... Single exit exhaust with a nice subtle tip on it.... can see the pipework through the other exhaust hole so I may polish it and leave it uncovered Stainless flexi has been added in, I know the standard system doesn't have it but better to have and not need than need and not have What it all sounds like (sorry for the crap video), exactly what I wanted and peaks at 98db at 4.5k as asked so I can still make the use of the majority of trackdays Yup, shes low, Can't wait for the wheels to be added, will sit 18mm ish further out to nicely fill the arches A few from when I got back to my flat Cut the rear panels just enough to allow access to the damping adjustment, its in there somewhere Finally the first time I'd actually seen the colour of the wheels in the light, I collected them last November in the dark after work and they have lived on my floor out of direct sunlight (They're dusty and my iPhone appears to have ruined the pearl effect on them but you get the idea). Anyway first thoughts on driving the car with everything fitted is that it has turned what I already thought was brilliant little car into an epic one, removed all the compromise I had noticed as planned, just need to make a few tweeks to the alignment when the wheels are added then work on some damping settings for daily/fast road/track.

Looks rather good that mate

I could be up for a meet at TD, haven't been to there spot and been ages since I've seen Mike... All depends on how hanging I am from the night before though, bank holiday Sundays do a strange thing to me and I seem to drink way way too much

Shame that white isn't an option, can't have something that doesn't match the car I'll hold out for a cardigan then for the moment BUT if you need the 10th for this I'll have a grey in medium
-
Haha now that blues an option what about white? not that I ever wear hoodies these days, any chance of a blazer or cardigan at a push?

So I've just got back from day one of the modifications being done, only took one picture as I was busy getting my hands dirty So all is done apart from the exhaust and alignment now (decided to leave it on the lift so the exhaust could be done without having to shuffle everything round), I will hopefully be collecting either Monday or Tuesday evening depending on work. Drop on the BC's is looking to be around 40 ~ 45mm but keeping the standard rake. I was going to upload the image I took of the wheels as its the first time I've actually seen them in proper sunlight Had them since November and I picked them up in the dark, since then they lived on my floor I'm going to wait to upload though until it's finished for the full effect

I'm hoping for somewhere around the 210 - 220 for NA, unless I decide to try those Crawford power block things, look to be a good option for staying NA and increasing power, although they will just move everything up the range... Anybody that has had the inlet manifold off for one reason or another (looking at you PD supercharged guys if you still have the manifold) fancy sending me the 10digit part number off it? I may be able to pick the drawing up so I can CAD my own mani spacers

Haven't got around to sorting the blanking plate out yet, I refuse to pay more for delivery than the part from ft86speedfactory. Will probably go down the route of making one myself... or if I feel I need more control over the rear settings and get the pretty looking adjustible arms I'll just remove the black "diffuser" section completely I'm not sure whether it'll be ready, it depends how the exhaust goes tomorrow, but as I've got the overpipe already which looks to be the most complex part for fabricating then I can hope it's all done in a day, if not I'll be collecting next Friday afternoon after the tour...

Not too my taste personally, not a fan of the black wrapped stuff, but can appreciate the work that's been done that looks like a top quality job. The contrast looks awesome, I'd possibly be tempted to do the roof too -
Wow, they look awesome, I need them
-
Nice clean install, the sub box looks like it's meant to be there
