Anyone up for an epic adventure? 9th-13th April
Jamie_GRMN replied to Kristov4's topic in Social Meets
Not wanting to distract from Chris's thread even more but you're 20 miles east of the Evo triangle at your start point of the Horseshoe pass (good but short) there Chris Would definitely join for some of that though, your route goes past my flat so can't say no -
Glad I didn't book, can't make it now as on a course on the 29th

I definitely know the grey one, they aren't on here, the owner is one of the managers at work (Toyota Manufacturing at Deeside). Not sure on the red one though
-
Not yet... The TD turbo is mightly tempting still though
-
I have now only looked at the close up one in detail, missed it on the overall pic of the head, sorry Nige

They may come at somepoint but I agree with the choice to remove the DI as you'll be looking at some rather high cylinder pressures... Have you thought about lapping the areas in on the combustion chamber around your new plugs? Looks like you could end up with some heat spots on what's there which could lead to det

The more I look at the front of that car the more I agree with the comparison...

Ahhhh so that's why you were selling the other CP's, I kept meaning to ask the reason why looks lovely work Nigel as always

318whp for me, going at the low end as IAT's could be a bit of an issue. Would love it to make about 30 more than my guess though

Northern Meet/Open Day @ Tuning Developments
Jamie_GRMN replied to Mike@TD.co.uk's topic in Tuning Developments
Great day seeing everyone again even if I was in my usual morning state of being extremely hungover! Now back in the pub coming up with a plan for that turbo kit!! Thinking playing the lottery until my birthday (26th of Feb) if I don't win by then I'll bite the bullet for a loan Massive thanks to Mike for setting this up -
To my knowledge, no water/mix injection systems are designed for the mix to be used as a fuel. They are either used as cooling in the intact tract (pre or post charger, I would always go post due to potential compressor damage), as some of your positions show. Or they are placed in the inlet manifold (or as close to) which reduces cylinder temperatures and therefore propensity to knock; this is how the set up is on a Toyota GT4 WRC for example, the water injection nozzle is just after the throttle body. Please don't think there is any benefit from the actual ethanol/methonal being burnt as a fuel to reduce knock, this just doesn't happen. EDIT: forgot to add where I'd put the nozzle... but I'd be going for a position close to the throttle body

I would if I was allowed to post it on an open forum... There's a method to reinitialize the headlight ECU after suspension change/removal and refit
