I’m cautiously optimistic. Styling definitely not sure on. I’m surprised people thought the car would be an all new platform etc. Subaru are effectively the manufacturer and their general development is glacial at best. Not a complaint, just an observation. The photos show the general platform is very similar, a lot of the tooling might even be transferable. Gives hope that development cost will be low helping to keep the price reasonable. Additionally one can hope this allows a strong aftermarket. Hopefully this will keep the spirt of the car similar to current which is good as far as I’m concerned. Really I’m just happy that this type of car still exists.

Take cover this could get explosive. A lot of opinions inbound. Realistically Tesco v shell only difference should be additives. The car will run fine on most fuels. If the car is tuned, a tuner may tune to a specific fuel. Mixing fuels on highly strung engines not a great idea. Most will tune to vpower, it’s available and plentiful and traditionally has best results. The additives do more then just fuel you car eg clean injection (supposed to anyway). As a rule vpower is always good, most will recommend that as a result.

? Not to say new stuff isn’t better objectively, not much point if it wasn’t. It’s something are less engaging now then back in the day. Got nothing against autos or a good flappy in the right application. Just don’t feel either really suit light “sports” cars. I think we agree tbh 😂

Out of the country so no silver brz this time . As a local can recommend fuel however, very friendly place.

Very nice, was out in Europe earlier this year and unfortunately ran out of time to make it to stelvio and northern Italy. Some fantastic places bit further north if you are near by and have time. Grimsel/furka pass, fluelapass, Silvertta strabe and grossglockner. Unfortunately not sure if they are still open at this time of year.

Welcome fellow newbie

Hi all, Recently took the plunge, picking up a 64 reg silver brz and loving it. Figured it makes sense to join up. Got a couple of plans for the car but nothing done yet. Already met a few members and look forward to meeting more in the future. Scott

Thanks for all the new welcomes Funny how we all seem to have ended up with different colour cars then what we set out for. Would love to get cracking on the car, not sure when time will allow.

Thanks for all the welcomes everybody. Will no doubt end up at fuel for the next few weekends, seems to be a running trend at the moment for me. It couldnt be much closer to me unless it was in my back garden. Silver was never my first choice of colour, however I saw a silver brz at a mazda dealership and liked the colour. Kept holding out for a white car but was going on a road trip with a friend and wanted a car for it. With a week before we set off, I found the silver car down in devon, was a super deal and couldn’t resist. Love the colour now, although I think it might prove hard to colour match with if I ever tweak the car.

Yep that was me earlier I’ll definitely come along to the meet if I’m free that weekend. I’m beginning to become a regular at fuel anyway.
