Hi Omer, welcome along I think you were on my table after the detailing course.
-
I've just caught up on the blog been a silly week I've had a car seven days and spent 24hours in it so far and a similar amount at the datacenter. It's a great antidote to what is turning into a bumpy week I don't see myself as Japan enthusiast, though your blog is written in away that makes me thing you know maybe I should go have a look, sure you don't work for their tourist board? Love Japan Demon Tweeks The Hakone Skyline is that unrestricted speed or a scenic drive that has become a bit well driver orientated?

Think if the UK interior was like that I'd have bought something else that does look proper poverty spec, that said good base to strip out and turn in to out and out track car with less waste

Looks lovely and nice photo spot.

This sort of stuff really doesn't help does it great write up sounds like just what mine needs look forward to hearing more about once you've done a few more miles.

Lovin the write ups it great to read, when were in Vegas on the way back we stopped off on way to LA was 40C and LA was 36/37 to hot for us really as you say it's tiring when your not used to it, already though sounds a great trip.

Washed the GT86 and introduced it to its new partner , I think they will get along fine....

Seeing as I have some pictures of the car today seems a good time to start a thread for my Car. Brilliant day today Some track time at Oulton about 70 laps which equates to around 190miles, great day and very lucky with the weather.

Maybe a long sleeved t-shirt could be good club item, that be good for track events
-
They are great quality probably a little heavy as a track top that made me LOL
-
Have fun, just read the itinerary, look forward to reading about it, be nice if you get peek at the 86 production line

Talking out loud really not sure which way to go with this welcome any input or personal experiences. 1) take the GoodYear F1's off current wheels, bin them and put on AD08R's seems a bit of waste as they aren't very old but they are pretty shocking on the track. 2) new set of wheels with Yoko Advan AD08R on them and keep the current wheels with F1 for road use only 3) keep using the F1 on the current wheels until completely trashed.and just live with the way they are on track as only do 4 -5 track days a year. Intend keeping 17" don't have an interest in bigger wheels. I have a track day in September booked so bit of time to make a call. Have ebay search for OEM wheels incase any come up.

Comforting

They are only three or four months old, the one on the left bothers me most not sure how much wear the area can take, not something that one wants to consider when commit to a corner

Thanks for doing this seems to work fine

So I want to avoid the squirmy feel of the Goodyears, at various points of the day they look like this (pic below) after a session at Millbrook and 160miles around Anglesey I'd prefer not to do the suspension and tyres due to cost and I like the height and ride as is, appreciate I could get adjustable of course but I have no issue with how it rolls/handles as I have thicker ARB's and the picture show on track is fairly flat, just need to loose the squirm The left front is the worst, the other is front right.
-
I did want avoid suspension mods it maybe become and inevitability Kind offer where are you based?

I am overnighting here http://www.brecklandlodge.co.uk/

Lauren remind us what wheels your running?
-
I'll try not to get in your way, I'll come and say hi, I'll be there with a mate whom has a TVR S350. Never been to Snetterton looking forward to it.

I run 17's so can't really comment on the 18's, only driven one GT86 with 18's and not sure what tyres that had. Your comments on the F1's are the opposite of what I've found at least with the smaller size, think there great on the road, I don't speed as I have a number of points and don't need or want any more hence the trackdays so not sure what there like on cruise at that speed, and I don't use cruise on the track Might be pressure maybe to much, or the wheels you have are heavier than stock and that's affecting the feel.
-
I'd sacrifice a little road compliance for better track performance.
-
On the road have found the F1's better than the Primacy in wet and dry, it's on the track that they have shown there not a track tyre even an occasional track tyre. In fact if I just used the car on the road then I'd be very pleased with F1's as replacement to the Primacy. Lauren had discussed how the previous gen F1 was on the track and indeed was correct with this view Interesting on having too much grip and pairing the tyre and suspention to complement each other, something to look at.
-
I'd never considered too much grip quite interesting, wasn't planning on changing the suspension as I like the current ride and height so would prefer to get this right on the standard setup. Just need to find then some tyres that work well with stock and don't trash the edges after one good sesson looks the the 105 is a good candidate.
