Yes they do. Back in the day I wanted to import a used V6 German Audi 100. With car import tax added it would have become more expensive than a similar used one bought from a Dutch dealer. The Netherlands is car hell. The last GT86 was sold for ÂŖ47400. A year ago I bought mine, which then was almost three years old, for a higher price than what you pay for a new one in the UK.

The lower CO2 production of an automatic is caused by the slightly longer gearing. This made the automatic less expensive than the manual, over here in the Netherlands. Cars are heavily taxed by CO2 production. This CO2 tax madness is the cause of many fun cars not being sold anymore in Holland, including the GT86. đ¤

Everything between 25 and 40 mpg with an automatic, depending on traffic and fun.

Welcome! Enjoy the ride! đ

Welcome! The car looks great, better than my ice silver one.

Negative: I don't like the frontal view, as the car lost its identity. What I also don't like, is that tilted i-Phone thing. Positive: At least a new version is being worked on. The rear end looks stunning.

Could be the battery, especially if a 48Ah one is fitted. As far as I know Toyota switched to 65Ah batteries.

Looks like improper grounding somewhere in the electrical system. It's like the current doesn't flow to the minus of the battery through it's usual path, but (partly) through your stereo and/or alarm unit instead. Maybe you can measure the voltage between the minus of the stereo and the minus off the battery, while opening doors and turning the ignition key. Good luck!

Scary! đą Hope they'll at least show some goodwill.

Welcome! Looks like our cars have the same colour.

Because of absence of traffic jams during lockdown, fuel economy of my '17 GT86 improved significantly. My daily commuting distance is about 31 miles, which used to cost me about a gallon each working day. Over the past two months this dropped to almost 40 mpg. That's a decrease of 22.5%. Also the fuel prices dropped significantly, so there's extra money in the pocket. It can't be spent, however, as the pubs are closed.

15k miles is nothing. I do almost 20k a year.

Would be fun if two Yaris 3 cylinder engines could be stitched together to form a short boxer 6, sitting right behind the front axle....

Great you found what you wanted so quickly. It took me over a year. đŦ Let us know when you picked it up.

Yep, mine has white stitching, the central arm rest and the weird carbon fiber style panel.

I have a similar antenna stuck to the windscreen of my '17 GT86. I thought it belonged there.

Next comparison: Fiat Abarth versus Ferrari Enzo? đ

As a divorced car lover I know what you're going through. I've been paying alimony for the b!tch for 9 years already. Still 3 years to go. Dutch law regarding divorce is medieval. đ However, last September I bought my dream car, a '17 GT86, which she'll never get to drive. đ

Great looking car! Congrats!

Congrats with the car and welcome!

Got mine almost six months. Still loving it. I wanted to do a roadtrip through Germany, Switzerland and Italy, next summer. Chances are that a certain virus will still be active... âšī¸

Welcome! Google Maps showed me exactly where the picture was taken. đ
