Why not get a TD exhaust for around that price?
-
Cheers, I will keep an eye out for it.

Brill, how much would you ask for it? Might be interested mate.
-
So would you be selling your N1 then?

Red 2013 GT86 perfected for fast road use by Rally Prep £12000
Whizo replied to mattt's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Cars
Bargain price for a lot of car. I paid around this for a bog standard car with zero mods, so you are buying the car and then getting the mods for free. Wish this came along a few months earlier I would bitten your hand and arm off. -
RIP brother, gone but never forgotten

Awesome video. By any chance were you driving through Batley a few days ago? I am sure I flashed you coming the other way. I didn’t get the number plate but it was a white GT86 like yours. I was also in a white GT86 but the older shape?

I’m down the road from Wakefield pal, not many GT86’s around here so thought if you were local could have shared our passion for this car over a pint. Will probably bump into you one day at an event, enjoy the car, you won’t regret it.

Are you local to Wakefield pal?

Hi, I have finally got some time off work and wanted to start the modding process on my GT86. I used to have a BMW Z4 a while ago and that had a Cobra exhaust on it that sounded amazing, popped and made the perfect deep roar. My question is which Cat back system sounds deeper, not raspy, the TD non res or the Cobra? Also which one is louder? Thanks all.

Thanks all for the replies. I have decided to go with the TD option. They are also not too far from me so will have a drive done and get it bought and fitted whilst there. Thanks again all

2017 Tuning Developments Turbo GT86
Whizo replied to CharlieBatchelor95's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Cars
Thank you mate for the reply. So many people lower by 25mm but to me that’s not even worth doing, there should be minimal gap between the rubber tyre and arch. I am not talking about slammed where the wheel is inside the arch but low enough so that maybe you have a one finger gap at most. Looks like I will go with a 40mm drop then. Been told that for that much drop will also need drop links so will have to get those also. Thanks again -
Hi Neil. Not looking at any other exhaust mods, just a cat back box for now
-
Is the exhaust still available?

Hey mate, with the 40mm drop do you have any rubbing issues or problems clearing speed humps etc? Thanks -
Hi mate, any ideas how much postage would be to Wakefield in West Yorkshire? Thanks

Aftermarket headlights & tail lights.

Hey fella. That’s exactly what I will be going for, VLAND up front and VALENTI on the rear. From the videos and photos I’ve seen they make a huge improvement to the car in way of looks. -
Hi all. I am looking into buying a non resonated cat back exhaust and have narrowed it down to two, the Invidia N1 or the Tuning Developments non res cat back. How do the two compare in regards to loudness, build quality and value. I know the TD exhaust is about £250 less. I am more swayed towards the TD exhaust because I was hoping to drive down and get the exhaust fitted whilst I wait, any ideas if this is an option and how much it would cost? Also since I am there I wanted to get the car lowered to. Thinking about a 25mm drop front and back. Again I know TD sell lowering springs so I could have these fitted at the same time. Does anyone know the approximate cost in having lowering springs fitted at TD? Thanks all.
-
Thanks all for the responses. Think I will go with the TD exhaust and also get the springs done while I am there. Definitely want the non resonated since I have heard the resonated exhaust and that’s a little too quiet for my liking, especially once it’s had time to settle. Anyone got a ball park figure on cost of fitting, exhaust, springs and a geo? If not I will give TD a call Monday.

Hi guys I have been offered two GT86’s both are identical except for one is a 2012 with 47,000 miles and the other is newer 2014 but with higher mileage at 64,000. Everything else is the same from warranty, service history, number of owners etc. Which one would be the better buy? Thanks all.

Thanks Jay will do for sure, next starts the modifications.

Thank you mate. I’m just glad that I no longer have to keep checking what’s available on the market, been searching for a while now and it gets a bit tiresome after a while. The drive home is going to be awesome, something to look forward to 👍🏽

Deal is done, here is a photo of the car. Due to being self employed I have work commitments until the end of the month but the dealer is willing to store the car for me until then. So I won’t actually be picking the car up until the end of this month. Can’t wait for the 120 mile drive home. Thank you all for your help and advice, really appreciate it.
