Attended: Sweet f*ck all with the 86 being off the road with no engine apart from Gravity where I had to trailer it there! Also attended Simply Jap and Japfest with other cars, planned to be at Japanese Performance Magazine this weekend, Trax, JAE, Japshow Finale and tonnes of other local events/meets Favourite: Japfest is always a fantastic show, but just not the same when you have to travel in your Mrs' RX7 without your car so I'd have to say Gravity as it's the only show my car has been at this year, albeit on the back of a trailer without a working engine

Parts either being delayed for whatever reason, turning up damaged (had a flywheel arrive with 2 teeth missing?! and was then another 4 weeks to wait for a replacement as they were on back order). First ECU didn't do what we wanted it to, so we switched to another brand and their first one was faulty... Just anything that is out of our control has gone wrong. Oh and quite a few people on Nev's yard that are assisting with powder-coating or machining new bits are on holiday which never helps either. Our new target is JAE on 10th September...I'm praying everything goes well for that. Getting so sick of not having her now

The last few weeks have been extremely frustrating. Numerous parts have either been delayed or arrived faulty/damaged - our luck is just so bad at the moment it's unbelievable However, we are still making slow and steady progress. A sneaky picture I was sent earlier today of the finished exhaust system Nev is doing everything he can as quickly as he can. He's just as frustrated as me at the delays which have been out of our control and wants to get this finished before end of August. Finger's crossed no more delays!

I had the Q300 with a catless UEL manifold and just a HFC and it was far too quiet for my liking - probably perfect for you!

As Rob said, 99% of people looking for a standard 86 will use the typical sites like Autotrader, eBay, Gumtree, Pistonheads etc Very rare that someone signs up without already having bought an 86

I'll challenge that. My whole front and rear setup cost less than half of what the TRD front setup cost

Might as well look at 2nd hand alternative of Brembo, AP etc - better brakes for probably less money than the TRD kit which is a ridiculous price
