    Performance parts

Bump! Exhaust is now home in the garage, willing to listen to offers on all parts
  10. This thread was originally for a package, but I've now parted out a fair few bits including the Sprintex 335, so it's now just a list of performance parts for sale: Sprintex 335 intercooled supercharger kit - only 2,000miles on it (price new was £5,000) SOLD HKS 2.1litre stroker kit - this will be NEW from HKS as I'm almost certain they are replacing the kit that unfortunately looks to have failed on my engine, possibly due to a rare manufacturing error (price new was £3,000) HKS cams to compliment the stroker kit - only 2,000miles on them (price new was £1,250) Asnu 550cc injectors - 2,000miles (price new was £342) Moroso oil baffle kit - 2,000miles (price new was £168) Reimax oil pump - 2,000miles (price new was £297) Oil breather tank kit - 2,000miles (price new was £292) Setrab 16row oil cooler, brackets, lines and thermostatic oil sandwich plate - 2,000miles (overall price was around £500) ARP main engine bolts and head bolts - 2,000miles (price new was £542) Xtreme HD clutch - 2,000miles (price new was £395) SOLD Xtreme ultra lightweight flywheel - 2,000miles (price new was £265) SOLD Please feel free to make me offers via PM on any parts. Happy to discuss prices for multiple parts such as the 2.1 stoker kit and cams as they basically go together anyway!
  11. So the V8 swap is well underway, but 1 thing I haven't been able to confirm is how the MOT test for emissions works? The engine is a 1UZ coming from a 1995 Soarer. Obviously the regulations for emissions back then was a lot more lenient than that of today, and as far as I know the MOT test goes by the reg on the car? So I'll be tested for 2013 emissions regulations with a 1995 engine? Anyone had experience of this before? Is there a way around it at all apart from having a "friendly" MOT tester? Other forums seem to give varying answers when I've been researching it

    Smudge's supercharged V8 build

The car's now back with me for a little bit to receive some much needed TLC She was picked up from Abbey's this morning and transported back home to spend a few weeks on my driveway. Just want to say a big thank you again to @Mark@Abbey M/S and the team for everything they've done so far. It's been a tough few months but Mark and Scott kept me up to date every step of the way and have really helped me out in so many ways It's great to see her again and even better to have her home, but she is looking a bit rough - no engine, no gearbox, rusty brake discs, filthy dirty etc Can see through the car from the interior! And there seems to be some bits missing under the bonnet... I couldn't help but have a bit of tinkering time with her after so long, so decided to start fitting my aftermarket steering wheel boss and quick release, but didn't get very far when I realised I've got the wrong hub just 1 character difference in the part number, should hopefully have the correct one soon thanks to @Tarmac Various boxes of bits also came with the car, still a a few more bits to collect later in the week! Last thing to do today was to put her up on axle stands and remove the wheels, ready for a deep cleaning session at the weekend (if I get time!) V8 has been stripped, blasted and painted ready to go. Gearbox is being custom made using a BMW casing as the 1UZ only ever came with an automatic transmission in the Soarer. Hopefully she won't be sitting on the driveway for too long, we're planning to have the V8 conversion completed by the end of April/beginning of May

    Custom Trimmed Steering Wheel

I'm wanting to get a smaller wheel for track use. Just having a slightly smaller diameter seems to make a world of difference

Not a fan of leather and alcantara together, but the quality looks good Got my NRG deep dish wheel being changed from leather to alcantara with purple stitching as we speak

It's something along the lines of "If it's not there, they can't fail it" So like rear seatbelts. If they're present, they have to work. If they're not there, they can't test/fail it
  18. The huge Sprintex 335 supercharger has been traded for the more reasonable Sprintex 210 kit. A member of the FT86 forum has agreed to swap the superchargers plus cash my way, so I now have a Sprintex 210 supercharger kit for sale. This is the same kit that was originally on my car before upgrading and I was extremely impressed with the power this kit created. With the 70mm pulley we were running 254wbhp at 1.0bar which really gives the GT86 the power it needs from factory in my opinion. As well as the power, is the nosie! The whine from the 210 is just so addictive and along with the 335 is the only supercharger that makes the typical supercharger whine. I also loved how the 210 kit looks almost OEM once installed. The colours of the kit match the engine bay really well and it's a smart looking bit of kit. The kit I have received is from a well known member on the American forum and it has only covered just over 10,000miles. I will perform a full oil change on the charger over the next few days so you'll be receiving it in it's best possibly condition. Along with the charger is my original intercooler, pipework, water pump etc which has now covered just over 20,000miles but still performs as you would expect. The charger also comes with the Raceseng 70mm pulley which is lighter than the Sprintex pulley and looks a bit neater too. On it's own this is about $100. A couple of pictures from my original kit on my car just to show how it looks and fits: And then a picture of the actual kit fitted to the member's car in America. I will update with actual pictures once I've received it over the next few days, I just wanted to gather some interest ASAP. I am pricing this to sell at just £2,750 - no offers **REDUCED TO JUST £2,500** All you need to install this is an ECUTEK license from Abbey, Fensport etc and you're away! Installation is fairly easy, following the instructions and a bit of a helping hand from another member, we had my 210 installed in just 8 hours total. Of course Abbey or any other tuner/garage can also install if you wanted to Feel free to ask me any questions

No point I'm afraid Dan, no one will want those by themselves My cooler and lines aren't exactly old, can't see much benefit to buying new? - drop me a PM with a price you think the whole kit is worth. Open to offers on things
